And it's just a really tranquil spot. Full hook ups... Only $15 a night and it has public bathrooms. It also has great cell coverage. I can't stress enough how chill and calm this spot was." Another echoed the sentiment of affordability and quality, stating, "This is a nice city park with full hookups for $15/night... It's noisy due to the close proximity to the road and the train but it was safe and well maintained." The recurring themes are clear: affordability, full hookups, cleanliness, and a generally peaceful, well-maintained environment, despite some external sounds. This park embodies the spirit of supportive small towns offering amenities to travelers, encouraging them to explore the local area.

Location and Accessibility

Hapgood RV Park is conveniently located at Spur 510, Henrietta, TX 76365, USA. Henrietta is a charming small town in Clay County, North Texas, situated just south of the Red River and roughly halfway between Wichita Falls and Gainesville. This makes it an ideal stop for those traveling along Highway 287, a major thoroughfare connecting the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to areas further north and west.

The park's location on Spur 510 offers easy access directly off Highway 287, making arrivals and departures straightforward, even for larger rigs. While its proximity to the road and a train line has been noted by some as a source of ambient noise, it also underscores its accessibility and ease of reach. For Texans, Henrietta is a manageable drive from several key regions: it's approximately 30-40 minutes from Wichita Falls, about 1 hour and 45 minutes from Fort Worth, and around 2 hours from Dallas. This makes Hapgood RV Park a fantastic option for a quick weekend getaway, a convenient overnight stop on a longer journey, or a base for exploring the unique character of North Texas towns and rural landscapes. Its position means you can easily resupply in Henrietta or venture a short distance to larger towns for more extensive services or attractions.

Features / Highlights

  • Exceptional Value: At just $15 per night for full hookups, Hapgood RV Park offers outstanding value, making it highly attractive for budget-conscious travelers and long-term stays (within park limits).

Promotions or Special Offers

Based on the provided customer reviews, the primary and most significant "promotion" or "special offer" at Hapgood RV Park is its consistently low nightly rate of just $15 for full hookups. This price point, especially for a park offering water, electric, and sewer connections, is exceptionally competitive and acts as its most compelling incentive. Given that it appears to be a city-run park, it's less likely to have seasonal discounts or loyalty programs typical of private RV resorts. The value is inherent in its everyday pricing.

It's always recommended for potential visitors to contact the park directly to confirm current rates and availability, as prices can occasionally change, although the consistent mention of $15 in recent reviews suggests this is a stable rate. However, considering the reviews, the affordability itself is the main draw and often surpasses what many private parks offer for similar amenities, making it a "special offer" in itself for budget-conscious RVers.

This is a nice city park with full hookups for $15/night. There were only a few spots left when I arrived. It's noisy due to the close proximity to the road and the train but it was safe and well maintained. I love towns that offer small and affordable parks like this, even though amenities only consist of hookups because it gives me the opportunity to explore the area. I always try to spend my $$$ in towns that offer this.

Nice big spot, right off the road but not much traffic, distance noice train that I personally love. Small town so shopping/food is sparse. The lady I spoke to on the was very helpful and pleasant. $15 for full hook ups, yes you read that right!!’ Max stay is 7 days. Great place to stop and rest! If you have a dog lots of run for them to run, if you have kids they have a wonderful park just next door.

This is a nice city park with about 10 spaces that is good for a night or two stop over. There is a posted day limit of 7 days but there are people working in the area that have negotiated with the city to stay longer. Daily price is $15 for a full hookup and that's a great price! Payment is on the honor system and there's a locked box on one end to register and pay. There are no trees for shade but full hookup allows for A/C. Some spaces are 50 amps but most are 30 amps. There is a playground close to the camping area and also a dog park. Ball fields host local teams in the evening during the season. Henrietta is small but has some interesting places to walk and see. Not much in the way of groceries but a few small places to pick up basics. We've stayed here before and would do so again when passing through the area.

Came in at 11:00pm on a Tuesday night. There are 12 spots, 9 were already taken, 1 was out of order, but 2 spots were still open and I only needed one, so we're good! I stayed in site #3- it was level enough I didn't setup my blocks, but my leveling system showed in was 2 inches low on the driver side. If I was staying any longer than just an overnight layover, I would have leveled it. But $15 for a full hookup and clean/quiet place is a nice find. Tip- site #1 is the first site on your left as your enter. It looks like part of the road/drive if you're not looking for the pedestal. Don't overlook it and think they are fully booked if they are near capacity like it was for me. p.s. Verizon had 4 bars of 4G signal.
