Customer Reviews
Delicious home cooked food with friendly service. Award winning catfish, homefries, burgers, homemade fried pies, & many more! I have had many home cooked meals across the south and everything at Tugboats is tasty! If you want a great Ruben sandwich, this is the One to have! Check out the outstanding fried okra and homemade fried pies 👍 Check them out when visiting rhe King's River Overlook & Natural Science Center.
It's a little out of the way, but the food was great and the price very low. The menu is pretty simple with mostly burgers and chicken strips, but very good. I had one of the best chicken fried steaks I have ever had. It cut easily with a fork. I have 3 picky kids and each loved what they ate. And the chocolate fried pie I had was great, too.
The food was really tasty. I am not a fan of catfish, but theirs is really good! The beans were very savory and had just the right consistency. The sweet tea was almost like Grandma's. The people were super nice and very accommodating of me being fickle. My compadre ordered the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and gravy... It was the bomb! It is worthwhile to drive out, or if you find yourself zipping along hwy 23, stop in! Sit and relax. It will refresh your soul. Love the people and the place!
Every time I've been in here I've been greeted by friendly people and have never been let down by the great food they have. You can never go wrong with the catfish or chicken fried steak. Piggy fries are to die for! I tried the coconut cream pie tonight... Yummy!!
Some of the nicest people around me and my family went to find a waterfall in that area ended up getting a flat we made it to Tugboats bought a plug very very nice gentleman helped us out and got us on our way would definitely stop back at this place.
