Welcome to Hickory Creek RV Park, a place that, for many Oklahomans, has become a long-term home away from home right here in Shawnee. This RV park offers a distinct experience, particularly appealing to those seeking a quiet, settled environment for extended stays. While one recent review mentioned some challenges with amenities like power, water quality, and sewage disposal, it's also clear from another long-standing resident that Hickory Creek RV Park has cultivated a strong sense of community and stability for those who choose to make it their long-term residence. With a resident stating they've "been there for 11 years" and describing it as "very nice to be quiet place to live there," it’s evident that for many, it provides a stable and peaceful living solution.
For Oklahomans looking for a more permanent or semi-permanent RV living arrangement, Hickory Creek RV Park presents an option focused on providing a tranquil environment. It’s a place where you can establish roots, even if your home is on wheels, and find a consistent, quiet setting. While newer visitors might encounter some initial hurdles, the longevity of certain residents suggests a supportive and peaceful atmosphere for those who have found their niche here. It’s important for prospective visitors to consider the nature of their stay—whether short-term or long-term—to best align with what Hickory Creek RV Park offers its core residents.
Hickory Creek RV Park is situated at 36478 Moccasin Trail Rd, Shawnee, OK 74804, USA. This address places it within the broader Shawnee area, offering a balance between a potentially quieter, more secluded setting and reasonable access to the amenities and conveniences of the city. Moccasin Trail Road suggests a location that might be slightly off the main thoroughfares, which could contribute to the "quiet place to live" aspect highlighted in a long-term resident's review.
While direct access to major interstates might require a short drive, the park's location in Shawnee ensures that visitors are not far from essential services. Shawnee itself is a well-established city with various shopping centers, grocery stores, dining establishments, and healthcare facilities. For those needing to commute or explore, Shawnee is conveniently located near Interstate 40, a major east-west route through Oklahoma. This means that while the immediate surroundings of the RV park might offer a sense of retreat, the wider infrastructure of Shawnee and access to key transportation arteries are readily available for residents and visitors. It’s this combination of a more residential, tranquil environment with practical access to urban necessities that defines the accessibility of Hickory Creek RV Park.

This place is not very good. Muddy, the power didn't work and the water had a bad smell. Plus we were told not to flush toilet paper to put it a waste basket.

Feb 20, 2023 · Simon Bhakta MathemaGreat, great place! It's like being at a resort! No kidding, lots of friendly people, pets welcome, a really nice place. Like everywhere you'll have your good people, with a few bad, however overall I'd raise kids here and feel safe too.
Mar 26, 2024 · Dwane EnyartI am basically a gypsy. I have been privileged to venture the world. Moved to this area to be closer to my son. My first park in shawnee had me believing I was in Hell. Until moving to Hickory Creek I was ready to get out of oklahoma. Hickory Creek has great management and even better neighbors. The place is peaceful, quiet and lovely!
