The park's location on South Major Drive is a key advantage, offering a blend of secluded tranquility and practical urban accessibility.

While situated within the city limits, the park reportedly offers a "very quiet" environment, which is often a priority for RVers seeking peace after a day of work or travel. Its proximity to major highways, including easy access to I-10, makes it a convenient stop for those passing through or needing quick connections to other parts of Texas. For individuals engaged in the robust industrial and petrochemical sectors of Beaumont and Port Arthur, Hidden Lake RV Park provides a practical and accessible home base, allowing for a manageable commute to work sites while offering a comfortable retreat.

For Texans seeking an RV park that blends the serenity of nature with the convenience of urban proximity, Hidden Lake RV Park in Beaumont, Texas, presents itself as a compelling option. Its suitability for locals stems from a combination of strategic location, a robust offering of amenities, and a general focus on creating a comfortable environment for both short and long-term stays.

The park's location at 6860 S Major Dr is a significant asset. It offers the desired "peace and quiet" by being sufficiently removed from highway noise, yet remains incredibly accessible to Beaumont's essential services, industrial centers, and attractions. For individuals and families working in the Golden Triangle's petrochemical and other industries, the park provides a practical commute, minimizing travel fatigue and maximizing personal time. The presence of a "25 acre stocked pond" for fishing and other water activities is a standout highlight, offering immediate recreational opportunities that few other parks can provide. This allows residents to unwind and enjoy nature right at their doorstep, a significant draw for any Texan who loves the outdoors. Furthermore, the park's pet-friendly policy, complete with a dedicated dog park (with planned upgrades), makes it an excellent choice for those who travel with their furry companions, an increasingly important consideration for many RVers.

While some past reviews have noted concerns about unmaintained walking paths, dilapidated picnic tables, mosquito issues, and occasional challenges with management presence or consistent enforcement of parking rules, it's important to consider that the park is actively advertising its amenities and appears to be striving for a high standard. Recent reviews also highlight improvements and general satisfaction with cleanliness and quietness. The explicit discounts for AARP, TACO, military, and Good Sam members demonstrate a commitment to providing value, particularly for those planning extended stays.

In conclusion, Hidden Lake RV Park offers a unique value proposition for Texans. It provides a peaceful, amenity-rich environment with the added bonus of a private fishing lake, all within convenient reach of Beaumont's economic and social hubs. My Husband and I stayed here for about a month with our baby and doodle. Lake view is beautiful! My dog and baby thoroughly enjoyed watching the goose, ducks and turtles. There is a walking path advertised around the lake that simply does not exist. Fences on the property are dilapidated and rotting. Several of the picnic tables at sites are rotting, falling apart and unusable. Mosquitoes are horrible and untreated. Burrs are all in the grass which makes walking barefoot impossible. Spots are advertised as large enough to park two vehicles- beware, management picks and chooses which sites are actually large enough for this parking situation. Laundry room is a very good size but constantly smells like dog feces. I haven’t seen management a single time and it seems that they are never in the office. Overall, great for the price and location. We did enjoy our time here.

Ok for a quick one night stay. The park had a lot of longer term rv's, but it was well taken care of. Sites were adequate size. The pull thru site we stayed in had plenty of room for our tow vehicle. Interior roads seemed to be somewhat tight to maneuver corners with our 37' class A motorhome, but we managed. Very quiet park.

We had a pleasant stay! Read a review about the trains being loud so we were a little concerned. During our weeks stay we only heard them a few times during the day, never woke us up at night. The ladies in the office were helpful and friendly. We were relocated to a site along the lake which was much appreciated. My husband enjoyed some fishing and caught a few bass. It was a nice week!

Booked a Rv space for one night through website. It turned out we booked it through a third party called Rover Pass. Tried to cancel booking two weeks in advance I was told there is no refund. Been traveling for a year now and plans change and I had to cancel reservations before every other place has given some sort of refund. Never got any response from Rover Pass and they never returned my calls. Terrible customer service from the RV Park and Rover Pass if that is a real company? Going to complain to the BBB?
