Staff was amazing. We had a big issue with the place we originally booked for our trip and did not realize till 9pm called this place the owner answered said she’d stay late and for us to just get there and she’d take care of us. Best place I have camped at. Love the shower rooms and the little river
May 29, 2025 · Amanda DayeI would advise against renting UTVs from Hillbilly rentals. The one I rented had a muddy passenger seat which we had to clean before we rode. I washed the UTV after two days of riding and returned it cleaner than when I rented it and was charged a $50 cleaning fee. Two days after I returned the UTV I noticed that only $400 of the $1000 deposit I left was returned. I spoke with Shawnda and she informed me that both of the rear tires were flat with puncture holes which was new news to me as the UTV was in fine mechanical order when I returned it. I believe that the UTV that you rent should be inspected when you return it and not 2 days later like in my case. The shower of the camper that we rented had several dead bugs in it that can been seen in one of the photos. The Keurig coffee maker was also inoperative. I brought this to the attention of one of the workers but it was never fixed. I feel that it is unfair and bad business to inspect the UTVs days after the rental.
Jun 10, 2025 · Collin RobertsonHad a great time at Hillbilly Rentals and campground. We stayed in a camper behind the camp store. The camper was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The camper faced a nice creek with a wooden picnic table, firepit, and metal grill available. The bathhouse was super nice and appeared to be recently renovated. We rented two (2) side by sides and most of their rental vehicles appeared to be almost new. We had a small problem with one of our rentals. The owner promptly switched us into another vehicle and we were on our way. The location is ideal and only 2.5 miles from the Bearwallow Trail Head. Thank you Summer and Shonda for a great stay!
Jul 18, 2025 · Chadrick BarrPlace was exactly as shown on website, No hidden fees, gimmicks, for rentals. Stayed at Campground, 50 amp full hookup (hard to fine) Cleanest Bathhouse with High pressure waterfall shower head. Family run, great folks, extremely accommodating, great communication through entire process from inquiry to check out. Highly recommend if looking for a getaway, will be back. Brad @ Tifanie
Oct 14, 2024 · Bradley FlachbartNice campground next to the river with a store on site but could use some upkeep from the owners. We stayed on campsite 6 which little did we know, the electric pole was previously on fire which made my husband uneasy about the stability of it and possibly falling onto our trailer. There were also and still are nails/sharp objects all around the pole which made us worry about our tires. Lastly, we were there from Friday-Monday and the bathroom was not serviced one time. Two stalls had no toilet paper and the other stayed clogged/full of feces through the entire stay. I don't understand why on such a busy weekend like Labor Day there were not any checks on the bathroom even once. I dont even think anyone even bothered taking a look. If more attention was given to the upkeep, my review would definitely be higher.
