Hey there, fellow RVers and Tennessee dreamers! For those of us who live life on the open road or simply crave a consistent home base that feels like a permanent vacation, finding the right RV park is more than just parking your rig—it's about finding a community and a lifestyle. Our incredible state of Tennessee, with its diverse landscapes and welcoming communities, offers a myriad of choices for RV living. Today, we're shining a spotlight on a truly unique destination that caters to a special kind of RV enthusiast: Holiday Out at Lake Tansi, nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Crossville, TN.
Holiday Out at Lake Tansi isn't your typical transient RV stop; it’s a vibrant, established community where many residents "live here full time." This is a significant distinction, setting it apart as a place where you can genuinely put down roots, even with your RV. As one full-time resident enthusiastically shared, it's "a slice of heaven due to weather, lake fun and much more. We live here full time, great place, crowded in summer but no hot weather. Very nice and peaceful in winter. Winters are short and mild compared to northern places. All four seasons which is nice." This encapsulates the core appeal of Holiday Out: a year-round, temperate climate combined with abundant recreational opportunities.
What truly differentiates Holiday Out at Lake Tansi is the model of ownership: "You buy your lot." This provides a sense of permanence and investment not found in traditional rental RV parks, while also allowing residents to benefit from the extensive amenities of the broader Lake Tansi Village. With "Condo fees, very reasonable," residents gain access to a lifestyle that includes lake access, golf, and various recreational facilities. It’s a "cool little place to visit and live," offering a peaceful environment that comes alive with activity during the summer but maintains its serene charm during the milder winters. For Tennesseans seeking a long-term RV solution that blends community, comfort, and direct access to nature, Holiday Out at Lake Tansi presents a truly compelling option. Let’s explore what makes this RV park a unique and suitable choice for locals looking to embrace the RV lifestyle or find a permanent vacation home.
Holiday Out at Lake Tansi is located at 182 Commanche Trail, Crossville, TN 38572, USA. This address places it squarely within the larger Lake Tansi Village, a planned community situated on the Cumberland Plateau in Crossville, Tennessee. This region is renowned for its mild climate, natural beauty, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular destination for retirees and those seeking a relaxed pace of life.
Crossville itself is often referred to as the "Golf Capital of Tennessee," boasting numerous championship golf courses. The location of Holiday Out at Lake Tansi provides residents and visitors with excellent accessibility to these golfing opportunities, as well as a wide array of other recreational and essential services. While slightly off the main interstate (I-40), access to Lake Tansi Village is straightforward via well-maintained state and local roads from Crossville's town center. This offers a desirable balance: a sense of being nestled within a peaceful, recreational community, yet still conveniently connected to necessary amenities.
The key highlight of the location is its direct association with Lake Tansi. As a large, 550-acre private lake, Lake Tansi offers extensive opportunities for water-based activities right at your doorstep. This includes boating, fishing, swimming, and enjoying the lakeside beach. The residential nature of Holiday Out at Lake Tansi means that residents have consistent, long-term access to these invaluable natural features.

The ease of access combined with the wealth of nearby attractions makes this location highly desirable for full-time residents and extended stay visitors.
Holiday Out at Lake Tansi operates as a unique RV park where residents own their lots, granting them access to a comprehensive suite of services and amenities primarily managed through a Property Owners' Association (POA) and the broader Lake Tansi Village. Its distinct model of lot ownership, combined with its prime location and extensive community features, makes it far more than just a temporary stop—it's a lifestyle choice.
Firstly, the ability to "buy your lot" provides a level of stability and investment that is highly attractive to locals looking for a permanent or semi-permanent RV base. This ownership model means residents aren't subject to fluctuating rental rates and can customize their space, fostering a true sense of belonging. For Tennesseans who love the RV lifestyle but desire a consistent home base, this offers the best of both worlds.
Secondly, the comprehensive amenities of the broader Lake Tansi Village, accessible through reasonable POA fees, are a major draw. Having an 18-hole championship golf course, multiple swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), a private beach on a 550-acre lake, and various recreational facilities right at your fingertips is unparalleled. For locals who enjoy an active lifestyle, especially golf and lake activities, this community provides a continuous vacation experience without ever leaving the state.
Furthermore, the favorable climate, with "short and mild" winters and all four seasons, makes year-round living comfortable and enjoyable. This is a significant advantage for Tennesseans who appreciate the change of seasons but prefer to avoid the extremes often found further north. The peaceful atmosphere, particularly during the quieter winter months, provides a serene retreat, while the summer brings a lively, community-focused energy.
In essence, Holiday Out at Lake Tansi offers a unique opportunity for Tennesseans to embrace the RV lifestyle as a permanent residence or a long-term vacation home, combining the practicalities of a well-equipped RV park with the benefits of a thriving, amenity-rich community in a beautiful natural setting. Jun 30, 2020 · tim mathesTook a drive in and around this area this weekend. Nice that they have the 19th Hole restaurant/pub. The living area near the lake seems very crowded but everyone seems very friendly. It is much more populated out that way than anticipated but they have a golf course along with many other amenities that entails fun and outdoor activities. Nice that they are allowed pets there as well. All in all, it was a nice journey looking around in the Lake Tsansi area.
