This was a great day. I went to Lake Ivan and found a bunch of walking trails and species of flowers that the honey bees were enjoying. I also came up to a baby alligator. I saw 6 total snakes today. One close to me and 5 near the trees down over the dam on rocks. What a perfect place to hike in nature. I had such a good time.

One of our favorite places locally to camp. Located in the Bodcau Wildlife Management Area, it has a handful of well manicured, primitive camp spots with a pit toilet bathroom nearby. It has three wooden docks on the eastern side of the lake from which you can fish or just enjoy the majestic beauty of the lake. A boat launch is located on the northeast portion of the lake near where the check in area is. Camping is free unlike most of the other places in the Bodcau WMA where camping is allowed. A bridge/dam runs west from the main area toward a more secluded dock. I'm terrible at fishing but even I've managed to catch some little ones from the dam facing north.
