Customer Reviews
Camp ground, staff, access to the lake.. everything great, but bugs - Mayflies. I’m not sure these bugs are always there, but the thousands of Mayflies were constantly falling from the woods like literally rain when I was there (July 2023). It was horrible.. They don’t harm, but are really annoying. It was very challenging to do something outside of the tent. I don’t have enough courage to go there again..
This is a very nice park, the bathrooms are older but still in good condition. Great views of the lake. The sites don't provide a ton of privacy, I would suggest the other campground if you are looking to be more spaced out from your neighbors. There is one set of swings in the Lakeview Campground for the kids to play on. The entrance to the bathrooms faces the east, anything to the west of the building doesn't get much of any ambient light at night.
Very nice and up to date camp grounds. Would definitely recommend.
Like others have said, if you want privacy this is not the place. But I don't mind since a majority of the campers are very poilet. Outer ring has a little more privacy than the inner but the inner gets more sun light than the outer ring. Camp site was fine. Not too big or too little and had everything I needed. Park staff and rangers were all super cool.
Nice that it is near the lake , but definitely cramped and not secluded especially the inner ring.
