As a national forest campground (implied by the 877 phone number, which is typical for the National Recreation Reservation Service), Little Bay de Noc Campground operates differently from private commercial parks when it comes to "promotions or special offers." However, it provides significant inherent value and benefits that serve as ongoing 'offers' for Michigan residents seeking an affordable and authentic outdoor experience:

  • Affordable Camping Rates: National forest campgrounds are generally known for their budget-friendly daily and nightly rates, making quality outdoor recreation accessible to a wider range of Michigan families and individuals. These fees are set to cover maintenance and operations rather than maximizing profit.
  • Access to Federal Recreation Passes: For eligible Michigan residents (e.g., seniors, individuals with disabilities, military personnel), federal recreation passes like the America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass can offer discounts on camping fees, providing further savings.
  • Unparalleled Natural Setting at Base Cost: The "beautiful setting" and direct access to a "sandy bottom" swimming beach are priceless natural assets that are included with the relatively low camping fee. This allows access to high-quality outdoor environments without exorbitant charges.
  • High Standard of Cleanliness Included: The "super clean bathrooms" and meticulously maintained pit toilets are a significant value addition. This level of cleanliness, included in the standard fee, enhances comfort and is often a major concern for campers.
  • Spacious and Private Sites Without Premium Fees: The "large, private, and spaced out" campsites are a premium feature that often comes with higher prices at private campgrounds. At Little Bay de Noc, this privacy is offered as a standard benefit, providing excellent value.
  • Opportunity for Spontaneous Trips (if first-come, first-served): While the 877 number suggests reservations, some national forest campgrounds still retain a portion of their sites for first-come, first-served, offering flexibility for spontaneous Michigan getaways. (It's always best to check the specific reservation policy for this campground).

This campground is located in a beautiful setting. There are new pit toilets that are the cleanest I have ever seen, and maintained daily. The campsites are large, private, and spaced out. There is a large grassy area by the beach that is mowed regularly. The water is sandy bottom, and very nice to swim in. The camp host was also very friendly! Our family had an amazing time during our stay!

We just stayed here the 1-4 it was amazing. Super clean bathrooms, the camp sights are huge. It's was not a far drive from anything we wanted to go do. The beach was nice although the water wasn't the cleanest at the beach, there are many beaches close by.

This was a beautiful stop over. Paul and Heather were very welcoming and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean. The views are breathtaking, especially at sunset. No water fill or dump station. Remember, this is a rustic campground, so be sure to fill the water before you arrive.

Very nice, remote campground. Did get super loud at night from a factory or something and the train but still enjoyable. Wish there was more of beach for us to take the dogs to but still enjoyed our stay.

I just got back from an 8-night stay, very nice campground ! It's probably the best laid out one I have been, too. The camp host was very nice! The bathrooms very clean, smelled clean even ! It has a small beach if you're all about beaches I would look elsewhere πŸ˜‰ Lots to see and do within an hour drive of campground
