Lone Elm Mobile Home Park About

For Oklahoma residents considering mobile home park living in the Claremore area, Lone Elm Mobile Home Park offers a quiet community environment that warrants exploration. Mobile home parks can provide a unique and often more accessible housing solution, fostering a distinct neighborhood feel among residents. Lone Elm Mobile Home Park presents a specific set of characteristics that prospective residents should be aware of to make an informed decision about their next home.

Like any residential community, Lone Elm Mobile Home Park has garnered various perspectives from its residents. Some individuals appreciate the overall quiet atmosphere and the opportunity to make friends within the park, highlighting a sense of community. This suggests that for those who prioritize a peaceful living environment and friendly neighbors, Lone Elm could offer a comfortable setting.

However, it is crucial for potential residents to be aware of certain operational and environmental considerations. Feedback from residents points to challenges related to road accessibility, particularly during winter weather due to the park's hilly terrain. Concerns about snow removal efficiency and communication regarding road conditions are important factors to consider. Additionally, some reviews touch upon management interactions and neighborly dynamics, which are common aspects of community living that can impact resident satisfaction.

This article aims to provide a factual and balanced overview of Lone Elm Mobile Home Park based on available public information and resident feedback. We will delve into its location, the services it typically offers, and the features that define the living experience. Our goal is to equip Oklahoma locals with the necessary insights to assess whether Lone Elm Mobile Home Park aligns with their housing priorities and expectations for a stable and comfortable living environment in Claremore.

Location and Accessibility

Lone Elm Mobile Home Park is located at 8925 OK-20, Claremore, OK 74019, USA. Claremore is a city situated in Rogers County, Oklahoma, offering a blend of small-town charm with reasonable proximity to larger urban centers. The park's specific address on OK-20 places it outside the immediate downtown area of Claremore, potentially offering a more rural or suburban feel.

Accessibility to the park via OK-20, a state highway, generally provides straightforward road access for residents. However, a significant aspect of the park's location, as highlighted by a resident review, is its internal topography. Many of the lots are situated "at the bottom of a hill." This topographical feature has implications for accessibility, particularly during inclement weather.

During periods of snow, even a small accumulation can render the hill leading into or out of the park "impossible to drive up." This can leave residents "trapped in the park" until the roads are cleared. Prospective residents should therefore consider the practical implications of living at the bottom of a hill in an area that experiences winter weather, and inquire about the park's snow and ice removal policies and timelines. Dependable transportation and access are crucial for daily life, including commuting to work, accessing groceries, and reaching essential services.

Despite this specific accessibility challenge, the overall location in Claremore offers residents access to local amenities such as grocery stores, healthcare facilities, schools, and local businesses. For those who commute to Tulsa or other surrounding areas, access to major highways like US-66 and the Will Rogers Turnpike (I-44) is typically within a reasonable drive from Claremore. Therefore, while external accessibility to Claremore is generally good, internal park accessibility during specific weather conditions is a key consideration for Lone Elm Mobile Home Park.

Services Offered

  • Mobile Home Lot Rentals: Lone Elm Mobile Home Park primarily offers lots for the placement of mobile or manufactured homes. Residents typically own their home and lease the land it occupies.
  • Utility Hookups: Standard utility hookups for water, sewer, and electricity are expected at each lot, allowing residents to establish their individual utility accounts.
  • Road Maintenance: The park is responsible for maintaining its internal roads. However, as noted in reviews, the responsiveness and timeliness of snow and ice removal on the main hill can be a significant concern during winter weather conditions.
  • Community Management: There is a management presence responsible for overseeing park operations, rent collection, and addressing resident concerns. While reviews mention management, opinions on responsiveness and consistency vary.
  • Waste Management: Typically, mobile home parks include provisions for trash collection services for residents, though specific details should be confirmed.
  • Pet Policy: Most mobile home parks have specific rules regarding pets (e.g., types, sizes, leash requirements, waste disposal). Prospective residents should inquire about Lone Elm's pet policy.
  • General Grounds Upkeep: The park is responsible for maintaining common areas and the overall appearance of the community.

Features / Highlights

  • Quiet Atmosphere: One of the consistently noted positive features is the park's "nice, quite" environment, appealing to those seeking a peaceful residential setting.
  • Community Neighbors: Residents have described the "neighbors are real nice," suggesting a friendly and welcoming community atmosphere for those looking to build connections.
  • Affordable Housing Option: Mobile home parks often provide a more economically accessible housing solution compared to traditional stick-built homes, which can be a significant advantage for locals.
  • Individual Lots: Residents benefit from having their own designated lot for their mobile home, offering a degree of personal space and autonomy.
  • Proximity to Claremore: The park's location provides access to Claremore's local amenities, including shops, services, and schools, without being in the immediate downtown area.
  • Rural/Suburban Setting: Situated on OK-20, the park offers a blend of rural tranquility and suburban convenience, appealing to those who prefer less dense living.

Information regarding specific "promotions or special offers" for Lone Elm Mobile Home Park is not publicly available or widely advertised in the provided information or typical business listings. Mobile home parks, particularly those primarily focused on lot rentals, generally operate with established monthly or periodic rental rates for their lots. These rates are subject to the terms of the lease agreement and may be adjusted over time in accordance with market conditions and local regulations.

The provided customer reviews do not mention any promotional offers, discounts, or move-in specials. Instead, they focus on operational aspects and resident experiences. Therefore, prospective residents should anticipate paying standard lot rental rates and should confirm these directly with park management.

When contacting Lone Elm Mobile Home Park, it is highly recommended to inquire about:

  • Current Lot Rental Rates: Obtain the exact monthly or periodic rental cost for available lots.
  • Lease Terms: Understand the duration of the lease agreement and any clauses related to rent increases or changes in park policies.

Conclusion: Why Lone Elm Mobile Home Park is Suitable for Locals

For Oklahoma locals, particularly those in the Claremore area seeking a mobile home living option, Lone Elm Mobile Home Park presents a community that, while having specific considerations, can be suitable for the right resident. Its primary appeal lies in offering a quiet and potentially more affordable housing solution compared to traditional homes, allowing individuals and families to achieve a sense of homeownership through lot rental.

The park's quiet atmosphere is a significant draw for those who prioritize a peaceful living environment, away from the constant noise of urban centers. The positive feedback about friendly neighbors suggests a community where connections can be made, contributing to a supportive living experience. This communal aspect can be particularly appealing for locals looking for a neighborhood feel where residents interact and look out for one another.

However, for Lone Elm Mobile Home Park to be truly suitable for an Oklahoma local, a realistic understanding and acceptance of its specific challenges are paramount. The most notable factor is the park's topography, with many lots at the bottom of a hill, which can severely impact accessibility during winter snow and ice. Prospective residents must be prepared for potential delays in road clearance and consider if their work or personal needs can accommodate such eventualities. It is crucial to verify the park's snow removal policy and resources directly with management before committing.

Furthermore, while the park offers quiet living, anecdotal evidence of management and neighborly interactions suggests that proactive and clear communication from residents may be necessary to resolve issues. For a local to thrive here, they should be prepared to engage directly with management on concerns and perhaps to navigate community dynamics. If these practical considerations are carefully evaluated and deemed manageable, Lone Elm Mobile Home Park can indeed provide a stable, quiet, and community-oriented place to call home in Claremore.

Drive by and check it out. Most of the lots are at the bottom of a hill if you notice. When it snows even a little the hill becomes impossible to drive up and you're left trapped in the park until Mitch decides to clear the road. Well it stopped snowing 3 days ago and he's only now clearing the road up the hill at 5pm in the afternoon so people can go to work or get water or food or go see their loved ones. Apart from that the neighbors are real nice.

They have wires that are underground showing never covered back up brought to there attention and the place was a lot cleaner than when mom moved in and they refuse to give deposit back cause did not give 30 day written notice even though husband talked to us and knew what was going on and health reasons this woman that runs this place is wrong and so hard to get along with we was warned and everything we was told was true do not rent from this place they will do you wrong they did my mom
