Lone Star Lake Park Campground is managed by Douglas County Parks & Recreation, a public entity. As such, it typically operates under a set fee structure rather than offering ongoing commercial promotions, discount codes, or seasonal sales in the way a private business might. The camping fees are generally standardized based on the type of site (e.g., utility hookups, primitive) and the length of stay. For the most accurate and up-to-date pricing, it is always recommended to check the official Douglas County Parks & Recreation website or contact the park office directly.
However, visitors may occasionally find value through:
- Multi-Night Stays: While not a discount, booking for multiple nights may offer a slightly better daily rate compared to single-night stays, though this varies by park policy.
- Off-Peak Season Camping: During the off-peak seasons (typically fall, winter, and early spring), campgrounds might sometimes offer reduced rates or have greater availability, providing an indirect form of value. However, this is not guaranteed and depends on park specific policies.
- Senior/Veteran Discounts: Publicly operated parks often have specific discounts for seniors, veterans, or individuals with disabilities. It is always worth inquiring directly with the campground or park office if such programs are available.
- Group Rates: For larger groups, inquiring about potential group rates for multiple sites or extended stays could be beneficial, although Lone Star Lake Park Campground primarily focuses on individual site rentals rather than dedicated group camps like some other parks.
The primary "promotion" of Lone Star Lake Park Campground lies in its inherent value: a well-maintained, friendly, and naturally beautiful camping experience at a publicly accessible price. Customer Reviews
Great place to take the kids fishing! They are 6 and 3 and LOVED how many little fish they caught. Camping is amazing bc the views of the lake are great. Friendly and nice camp host JR. Definitely our new little spot! Showers were hot and handicap accessible. The toilets on the entrance to the camping area flush but the showers on the other side are better. It's kept up very nice!
Beautiful area. Quiet and wonderful nature feel. Great gorgeous photos and spending time outside
What a find! $16 night with 50 amp service! Beautiful lake for swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking. NO reservations. First Come. (need to disclose that we were here on two weekday nights, no crowd) There are a few sites that could handle larger rigs. We are 30’ and fit without un-hitching.
I love camping here. The host is super helpful and checks in with us to make sure we’re doing alright. Beautiful scenery
Very nice. Felt safe camping with kids. There is a playground and shallow water for swimming in the lake.
