Customer Reviews
We had a great time at the loud mine. The campground was quiet and peaceful. Close enough for convenience, but remote enough to be silent. The camp host and assistant were awesome, took great care of newbies. We mined for two days and found some gold.
The LDMA is the Greatest. Always good Gold on there propertys.
I would highly recommend this place! My friends and I had a lot of fun there and really harvest some gold! Dana and Joe taught us how to mine gold from the beginning to the end. They are very patient and helpful. If you want to spend a day here, I would highly recommend you bringing a shade.
This is a great place. Clean restrooms. Super friendly and helpful camp host. Joe and Dana keep this place looking good and the club house has a bunch of DVD movies and a full kitchen wood burning stove. Crafts sewing machine games puzzles books . Plus Gold in the river. I had color in my first and second pan. In the river. I'll be back
This was my first time here. When I arrived I was greeted with a warm friendly smile. I said I would like to pan. I paid my $20 day pass fees and was shown around to the pay piles that they had set up around the area. I panned dirt from many piles and many places from each pile. Unfortunately I did not find one spec of gold during my 2.5 hrs there. Thinking back, I now know why the gentleman kept reiterating a friendly suggestion for me to head over and join the campers on the other side. I know think that he knew I would not find anything. I am an experienced panner and have panned fines as small as a tiny fraction of the size of the head of a pin. I really wanted to buy a lifetime membership as I will be visiting my relatives in Georgia more often and it is hard finding places to pan in Georgia. My take is that this place might be better suited for camping and fishing.
