This is one of the busiest campgrounds in the state and it is absolutely cramped and packed in. Especially in the center area there is no privacy, even the outer spots are not very secluded. There are only 2 small bathrooms on each end of this giant campground. Avoid at all cost if you want any relaxation. However if you love to mingle and love the water it might suit you. The appeal of this campground is it is right on the lake and you can beach your boat on shore.

Nice camping grounds! Maintained fair. Love the cover that the trees provide for shade- the dead limbs can be a gamble if the breeze is stiff enough. The views off the lake are nice. Enjoyed the breeze off said lake during our stay post July4. The beach we’re all the boats land is great for smaller kids/toddlers. Never made it to the beach on the west end. Restrooms were cleaned and maintained well. Fairly quiet with the exception of persons with dog(s)/owners that have no guidance/training for boundaries.

Campground is kind of packed in, the only good thing I saw is that it is right along the beach. The upper campground is much more remote and quiet.

Very open with no privacy. We went during the week and it's still very loud with obnoxious boaters. Not a very good place to enjoy kayaking or camping

At MN State Park Lake Carlos. What a beautiful fall weekend we just experienced. Calm conditions through out the weekend. Light rain Friday evening and night. Made for a great Saturday and Sunday.
