Location and Accessibility

The LVPOA Campground is conveniently located at 21301 Paseo De Vaca St, Lago Vista, TX 78645, USA. This address places the campground directly within the beautiful community of Lago Vista, nestled on the north shore of Lake Travis in the stunning Texas Hill Country. This region is famous for its rolling hills, pristine lake waters, and an abundance of outdoor recreational activities, making it a premier destination for Texans seeking natural beauty and adventure.

Access to the campground is exclusive to Lago Vista POA members, adding to its private and well-regulated atmosphere. Paseo De Vaca Street provides straightforward access, ensuring that members can easily navigate to their camping spot. For those traveling with RVs, the campground is designed to accommodate rigs up to 35 feet in length (hitch to bumper) with a maximum height of 14 feet, making it suitable for a wide range of recreational vehicles.

Lago Vista itself is well-connected by state highways, ensuring easy travel from various parts of Texas. State Highway 1431 is a primary route that provides access to Lago Vista, linking it to larger areas like Cedar Park and ultimately to Austin. The roads within the community leading to the campground are well-maintained, contributing to a smooth and pleasant journey for campers.

Beyond the campground's immediate vicinity, its location within Lago Vista offers unparalleled access to a wealth of POA-exclusive amenities and public attractions. Members can enjoy multiple waterfront parks, boat ramps, fitness centers, and more, all within a short drive. This prime location allows campers to truly immerse themselves in the "lake life" experience, making the LVPOA Campground an ideal base for exploring Lake Travis and the wider Hill Country region.

Services Offered

  • Exclusive Access for POA Members: A primary service is the exclusivity. The campground is strictly for Lago Vista Property Owners Association members and their accompanied guests, ensuring a private and community-focused camping experience. Reservations can be made up to 365 days in advance.
  • Full Hookups (for RV Sites): While the park accommodates both RVs and tents, RV sites are equipped with essential services including water and electrical connections. Reviews specifically praise the "very good" water and electrical connections, vital for comfortable RV camping.
  • Clean Restrooms with Showers: The campground provides well-maintained and clean restroom facilities, which include showers. Notably, one restroom offers air conditioning and heating for comfort during cooler months, while another is "somewhat open air but very private," catering to different preferences.
  • Trash Services: While not explicitly detailed, standard campground operations imply convenient trash disposal services for campers, contributing to the overall cleanliness of the park.
  • Accommodations for Various Rig Sizes: The campground can accommodate RV rigs up to 35 feet in length (hitch to bumper) with a maximum height of 14 feet, allowing for a range of RV types. Sites are limited to 2 sleeping units per site (e.g., 1 RV + 1 tent or 2 tents).
  • Reservations and Minimum Stays: Members can reserve sites up to 365 days in advance. A two-night minimum stay is required on major holidays, ensuring fair access during peak times.

Features / Highlights

  • Abundant Shade Trees: A major highlight, especially in the Texas heat, is the presence of "lots of trees for great shade." This natural canopy provides comfort and a pleasant outdoor environment for all campers, enhancing the overall experience.
  • Well-Maintained and Clean Park: Consistently praised in reviews, the campground is described as "well maintained" and "clean." This dedication to upkeep ensures a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for all POA members.
  • Recent Upgrades and Improvements: Visitors frequently mention "recent upgrades" and "a lot of improvements." These enhancements include "nice curbing around level sites" and "smooth access to the pads," making the camping experience more convenient and enjoyable. This commitment to ongoing improvement shows dedication to member satisfaction.
  • Level Sites: The presence of "level sites" is a significant advantage for RVers, making setup easier and ensuring a comfortable stay without the need for extensive leveling equipment.
  • Peaceful Atmosphere: Despite the improvements, the campground retains a peaceful ambiance, allowing members to truly relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.
  • Exclusive Access to Lago Vista POA Amenities: As a POA member, staying at the campground grants you access to an extensive range of community amenities. These include nine lakefront parks, multiple boat ramps, a private marina, fishing wells, two fitness centers, swimming pools (including an indoor lap pool), tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball courts, disc golf, and miles of hiking and biking trails. This vast array of recreational options truly sets the LVPOA Campground apart.
  • Proximity to Lake Travis: Being located in Lago Vista means direct access to Lake Travis, a major highlight for water enthusiasts. Campers can easily enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, and various water sports on one of Texas's most iconic lakes.

Promotions or Special Offers

As the LVPOA Campground is an exclusive amenity for Lago Vista Property Owners Association members, promotions and special offers are typically integrated into the benefits of POA membership itself. Rather than traditional discounts advertised to the public, the "special offer" is the exclusive access and the value derived from the membership fee. However, some inherent benefits or operational policies could be considered advantageous:

  • Member-Exclusive Rates: The pricing for camping at the LVPOA Campground is undoubtedly set for members, likely offering rates that are more favorable than comparable public campgrounds, as the cost of maintenance and operation is supported by POA dues.
  • Advance Booking Privileges: The ability to reserve sites up to 365 days in advance is a significant benefit, especially for popular times, ensuring members can secure their desired dates well in advance. This foresight is a valuable perk.
  • Access to Full POA Amenity Package: The true "promotion" is the comprehensive access to all other Lago Vista POA amenities. This includes various parks, pools, fitness centers, sports courts, and lake access points, adding immense value to the camping experience that extends far beyond the campground itself.
  • Well-Maintained Facilities through POA Funds: The ongoing improvements and high standard of maintenance, as noted by reviewers, are a direct benefit of POA membership, ensuring a consistent quality experience without additional, fluctuating fees for upgrades.

For specific information on camping rates and booking procedures, POA members should refer to their official Lago Vista POA communications or contact the designated office responsible for campground reservations.

The recent upgrades to the park are great! Nice curbing around level sites. The access to the pads are smooth and the trees are nicely trimmed. Water and electrical connections are very good. It's almost like an entire new campground!

Campground is kept clean by the rangers. Every few hours, they come by and clean bathrooms, they take the big trash cans out twice a day, and are always helpful if you call them. Spots are nice and level. Plus the hookups for campers are clean. Quiet times are reasonable (10-6) and the atmosphere is amazing! Perfect for kids and pets!

Quiet little spot with ample shower & bathroom facilities. Established hookups with 30/50 AMPS, city water, (sewer for long term stays) and Wi-Fi. Playground on site for the little ones, fire pits, picnic tables, and since the lake bed is dry currently, only a short hike across the lake to Bar-K park. Beautiful sunsets 🤍 ***Caution: Plenty of trees with large, low hanging limbs which can cause rig clearance issues, be prepared to scout the best way to get your RV into your spot beforehand***
