Mariners Cove Mobile Home Park serves individuals and families who are considering the specific benefits that mobile home living can offer. It presents a particular residential experience, combining the practicalities of a structured community with a focus on affordability. While it's always crucial for prospective residents to gather comprehensive and up-to-date information about any living situation, Mariners Cove Mobile Home Park has been a part of the Clearwater landscape for an extended period, providing homes for residents. This article will provide an overview, focusing on its location, general services, and what prospective residents should carefully evaluate when considering it as a place to live in Florida.
Mariners Cove Mobile Home Park boasts a highly accessible location at 5796 Ulmerton Rd, Clearwater, FL 33760, USA. This address places it strategically within Clearwater, a major city in Pinellas County, known for its beautiful Gulf Coast beaches and vibrant local economy. For Florida residents, particularly those in the Tampa Bay area, this location offers significant convenience, providing a balance of suburban living with direct access to urban amenities.
The accessibility from this location is a notable advantage. Ulmerton Road (State Road 688) is a significant east-west corridor in Pinellas County, connecting residents directly to major interstates such as I-275 and US-19. This means straightforward commutes to job centers in Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Tampa, as well as easy access to essential services, shopping centers, diverse dining options, and entertainment venues. Famous Clearwater Beach, with its renowned white sands and recreational opportunities, is just a short drive away. Furthermore, proximity to local amenities like grocery stores, pharmacies, and medical facilities ensures that daily errands and essential services are conveniently within reach. This blend of local convenience and regional connectivity makes Mariners Cove Mobile Home Park a practical option for those seeking a mobile home lifestyle in the heart of Florida’s dynamic Gulf Coast region.
Based on the nature of a mobile home park, and general industry standards, Mariners Cove Mobile Home Park would typically offer fundamental services to its residents. However, it's important for prospective residents to carefully note the significant concerns raised in customer feedback regarding management effectiveness and park upgrades. When considering a mobile home park, generally expected services would include:
- Lot Leases: The primary service of a mobile home park is providing leased lots where residents can place their manufactured homes. This lease typically includes access to the common infrastructure of the park.
- Utility Connections: The park would generally provide the necessary infrastructure for individual homes to connect to essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity. Residents are typically responsible for their individual utility usage charges.
- Road and Infrastructure Access: Access to internal roads and the general layout of the park is provided. Customer feedback suggests that park upgrades and infrastructure improvements, such as a playground, have been slow or non-existent, and a major concern regarding flooding has been raised.
- Waste Management: Services for trash collection or designated areas for waste disposal are standard to maintain community cleanliness.
- Community Management: There would typically be a management or ownership entity responsible for the park's operations, including handling leases, enforcing community rules, and addressing resident concerns. However, customer reviews indicate significant dissatisfaction with the current management (Lakeshore Management), citing concerns about ineffectiveness, lack of care for residents, and a focus on "price gouging."
Mariners Cove Mobile Home Park, as a community in Clearwater, Florida, presents several features and highlights that prospective residents should carefully evaluate. Based on the provided customer feedback, the key aspects include:
- Affordable Housing Consideration: Mobile home parks often serve as a more budget-friendly alternative to traditional housing options in the competitive Clearwater real estate market, making homeownership or long-term rental potentially more accessible.
- Established Presence: The fact that a customer lived there for over 10 years indicates the park has been established for a considerable period, suggesting a history within the community.
- Prime Clearwater Location: Its address on Ulmerton Road offers convenient access to major transportation routes, facilitating commutes to job centers and popular attractions across Pinellas County. This includes proximity to Clearwater Beach, dining, and shopping.
- Proximity to Waterways: The mention of being "right on the cross bayou canal" suggests potential water access or views for some units, which could be a desirable feature for some residents.
- Former Positive Management: Past residents fondly recall a previous management company (Riverstone) that "actually cared about the residents and the park," indicating that the park once had a highly positive resident experience. This highlights the potential of the location itself.
- Concerns about Current Management: A significant highlight is the extensive negative feedback regarding the current management (Lakeshore Management). Reviews explicitly state concerns about "price gouging," "ineffective" management, and a perceived lack of care for residents and park upgrades (e.g., a delayed playground for over two years).
- Flooding Risk: A critical highlight/concern is the explicit warning from a past resident about severe flooding, even from rainstorms, with details of property loss due to Tropical Storm Debby and alleged lack of disclosure regarding flood risks. This is a very serious consideration for any potential resident in Florida.
As of the currently available public information and based on the provided customer feedback, specific, explicit promotions or special offers for Mariners Cove Mobile Home Park are not detailed. Furthermore, the customer reviews suggest a focus by the current management on rent payment rather than offering special incentives or caring about residents' well-being beyond basic transactions. Mobile home parks typically structure their offerings around lot lease rates, which can vary based on factors such as the size and specific location of the lot within the park, as well as the duration of the lease agreement. Any incentives for new residents, such as move-in specials, discounted initial rent, or specific arrangements related to the purchase of homes (if homes are sold directly within the community), would generally be communicated directly by the park management.
Given the significant concerns raised in customer feedback regarding management practices and perceived "price gouging," prospective residents are strongly encouraged to exercise extreme caution and diligence. It is vital to contact Mariners Cove Mobile Home Park directly to inquire about current availability, precise rental rates, lease terms, and to explicitly ask about any disclosed flood risks for specific lots. Speaking with the park's representatives is necessary to obtain information, but it should be cross-referenced with independent research and careful inspection of any potential lot and lease agreement.
For those interested in exploring Mariners Cove Mobile Home Park further, inquiring about lot availability, or discussing residency options, the community management can be reached through the following contact details:
- Address: 5796 Ulmerton Rd, Clearwater, FL 33760, USA
- Phone: (727) 531-5288
- Mobile Phone: +1 727-531-5288
Given the severe negative feedback from past residents regarding management effectiveness and communication, prospective residents are advised to be persistent and thorough in their inquiries. It is highly recommended to visit the park in person to assess its current condition, including flood risk areas (especially those near the canal), and to attempt to speak directly with current residents if possible to gain a comprehensive understanding of the living experience before making any commitments. Due diligence is paramount when considering this location.
In conclusion, Mariners Cove Mobile Home Park presents a housing option for locals within the Florida region, specifically for those considering mobile home living in Clearwater. Its geographical location on Ulmerton Road offers convenient access to the amenities of Pinellas County and the wider Tampa Bay area, including its famous beaches, employment centers, and recreational opportunities. For Floridians exploring potentially more affordable housing alternatives in a desirable coastal region, the park’s location could be a starting point for inquiry.
However, it is absolutely critical for prospective residents to consider the significant and serious concerns raised in recent customer reviews. The feedback highlights deep dissatisfaction with current management practices, perceived lack of care for residents, delays in park improvements, and, most importantly, severe warnings about significant flooding risks to properties. The specific details about property loss during a tropical storm and alleged lack of disclosure prior to move-in are particularly alarming for any prospective resident in a flood-prone state like Florida.
Therefore, while the park offers a location in Clearwater, its suitability for locals hinges entirely on comprehensive and rigorous personal investigation. This includes verifying all claims, directly inquiring about and understanding flood zone designations and historical flooding events for specific lots, and thoroughly reviewing all lease agreements and park rules. Prospective residents must be prepared to conduct extensive due diligence and weigh the potential benefits of the location against the very serious and detailed concerns raised by past residents regarding management, maintenance, and safety. For locals, making an informed decision about Mariners Cove requires a thorough and cautious approach.

I lived there for over 10yrs. The first Management company Riverstone actually cared about the residents and the park! The new company all they care about is you paying rent and how they can price gouge you on that! Their Management is ineffective at best. When we asked about park upgrades and getting a playground for this kids they have said it's in the works now for over 2yrs. Saying they are trying to get permits. Yeah it doesn't take 2yrs to get a permit for a simple playground. I can't speak for other Lakeshore Management Parks but they definitely aren't doing squat for the people at Mariners Cove!
My sister and my nephew lived in unit 319 right on the cross bayou canal…she was there for 2 weeks and lost everything she owns to TS Debby and they only gave her $400 back she paid to get it and told her what she lost wasn’t their problem she should have gotten renters insurance, they didn’t tell her anything about flooding she had to find out for her self all her baby books her mothers ashes all my nephews brand new toys I bought him for his birthday gone..before you move here think about what’s going to happen to your property if you do…the water was approximately 3ft inside the trailer this is something that should have been spoken about before move in but it wasn’t and also they wanted her to clean the trailer out but had 5 dehumidifiers in the trailer ( so they can rent it to some other idiot ) making it over 100 degrees and her trash can washed away and they never brought her another they claimed they were gonna put her in a front lot to be safer but they never told her a word about this until after she left and wanted to take legal action…this place floods from just a rain storm so what do you think will happen in a cat 1+ hurricane, be safe Florida
Amenities advertised are not available School bus not available either. Rental agreement has SEVERE penalties. Don't BE A DAY LATE ...the late fees are tabulated daily. If more than a month you are not permitted to pay any amount less than the 2 months at once. Try keeping up with those penalties! Then the Attorney adds his outrageous fees ... forecloses on your trailer over late lot rental ! Sounds illegal Absolutely Shameful ! Who wants to live in a place that treats suffering people so horribly
I love the new management. He's been trying to straighten up the mess they left behind. Steve helps out everyone when needed. Everything will change soon and it's a great change for everyone that lives here. He runs two parks and does an awesome job taking on that employment. It's a quiet neighborhood you could hear a pin drop at night that's how quiet it is. I've been here 3 years plus and already see a change for the better. It's family oriented place to live. I'm raising two grandchildren and they love it here. I give Steve 2 thumbs up. People gotta understand you got two parks to run and you can't be at two places at one time. You take time to make sure that each park gets attended to. Now all we need is the home owners to update their homes property etc. The only problem I feel is not being taken care of properly is doing events. I said I would do them for these kids in here. They rely on me to say things that need to be said. Flooding is the main issue which I believe the county of Pinellas should take care of.. Us as homeowners that live near the creek make sure trash etc doesn't go in there on a windy day. But yes I would recommend living here.
Couldn't be happier here. Lisa in the office is the best! We moved down here from Ohio and she has gone ABOVE and BEYOND to make us feel welcome and has helped us in so many ways. This place is much more like a family than a mobile home park. You seriously grow to love it here!
