Conclusion: Why This Place May Be Suitable for Locals

For North Carolina residents, particularly those exploring various housing market segments, understanding the suitability of a mobile home park like Mountain View Trailer Park involves a careful consideration of its reported characteristics. While affordability is often a primary driver for choosing manufactured home living, the living environment within a specific park is equally crucial.

Based on the provided resident reviews, Mountain View Trailer Park appears to offer what some might refer to as a "real trailer park experience," which could appeal to individuals seeking a very specific, no-frills, and perhaps less regulated residential setting. For those who prioritize very low-cost housing above all else, and who are prepared for potential challenges related to noise, community dynamics, and property upkeep, it might present a viable option.

However, potential residents should be fully aware of the feedback concerning:

  • Noise Levels: "Noisy cars, noisy neighbors."
  • Community Behavior: Allegations of "drug addicts," "ignorant and inconsiderate people," and frequent "cops are in and out of there all the times."
  • Traffic and Safety Concerns: Serious complaints about dangerous driving habits on Jordan Valley Road and within the park.
  • Maintenance Issues: Reports that the "Landlord doesn’t do proper upkeep" and the "maintenance guy... doesn't take care of anything."
  • Management Responsiveness: The perception that "new owners doesn't care how much trouble the people in there cause as long as they pay their rent."

Given these points, Mountain View Trailer Park might be suitable for North Carolinians who are:

  • Seeking the Absolute Lowest Cost Housing: Those for whom financial constraints are the overwhelming factor and who are willing to overlook the reported drawbacks for the sake of affordability.
  • Accustomed to or Prefer a Less Regulated Environment: Individuals who may prefer a living situation with fewer rules or less oversight on neighborly conduct.
  • Resourceful and Independent: Those who are prepared to handle potential maintenance issues themselves or navigate complex social dynamics independently.

For all other North Carolinians, especially families or individuals prioritizing a quiet, well-maintained, and safe community, it would be prudent to conduct extensive personal research. This would include visiting the park multiple times at different hours, speaking with current residents on-site (if possible), and directly engaging with park management to clarify all concerns before making any housing commitments. Making an informed decision is paramount to finding a truly suitable home in North Carolina.

It’s a trailer park..noisy cars, noisy neighbors and drug addicts to boot. If you want the real trailer park experience just live in this one. Landlord doesn’t do proper upkeep for tenants either.

I had to come back and add to my review as most of the people on this side need to go back to drivers ED and learn how to drive and it probably wouldn't hurt to go back and get an actual education as well because they are some of the most ignorant and inconsiderate people around. The stop sign just up the road is not a suggestion, it means stop and not pull out in front of someone already up to speed and when turning onto Jordan Valley Rd. it's not a curve, it's a turn so if you have to cross the other lane to get on the street and almost hitting someone pulling up to the stop sign then you should rethink your life because you're not the brightest crayon in the box. People on that side don't know how to drive to save their lives, speed limits don't mean anything to them and I've just about been hit about 15 times over the last year alone! Cops are in and out of there all the times for something or another, the maintenance guy, creepy as he may be doesn't take care of anything and the new owners doesn't care how much trouble the people in there cause as long as they pay their rent. The place is becoming a nuisance more than the last owner ever dared.

I have a few friends that live in the park. It's back off the main road. Nice and quiet. Large yards and it was clean around people's homes. There's a basketball court but I don't know if there are any playgrounds or other recreational areas. The roads are paved and have speed bumps. The speed bump are not painted so they can take you by surprise if you aren't careful. It looks like a good safe place for children to play and ride bikes and stuff. The lot rent is reasonable. I would like to see the speed bumps painted. They can wreak havock on a vehicle's alignment.

First, I must say I believe that this mobile home community does not even deserve a 1-star rating but since I had to choose in order to leave this, that is what I chose. Second, I am leaving this review on behalf of my cousin who wishes to remain anonymous because she fears that should she come out with the truth about this community she would be evicted. Almost 2 years now I have watched as she and her family have struggled after making several requests to have repairs made on her mobile home. Mind you, it is the landlord's responsibility to do the maintenance but it is more important to him to take care of his friends in the park versus others. I have seen for myself, this man standing out in the front yards of his friend'ss homes (they are tenants in the park) pot and drinking beer. I have also witnessed this very same man picking fights, yelling at the top of his lungs, and cussing out tenants in a very public manner. He is very unprofessional and has actually done more damage to the reputation of this mobile home community than the previous owners did. I have been present when my cousin has spoken directly with the landlord / maintenance man one in the same, asking for repairs and I have personally heard him promise her that he would be by the next day or within a couple of days to take care of the matter. Again, to this very day nothing has been done. I believe that there are many tenants in the mobile home park that are very kind and would bend over backwards to help and they are not the ones I speak of when I give this place a 1-star rating. My rating is based solely on what I have witnessed myself with my own eyes my own ears and so forth in dealing with the management team. I would not suggest this as a place to raise children mainly because of what I have seen the landlord himself doing drinking beer publicly with the tenants smoking pot with them and you can definitely tell the difference between the smell of cigarettes and the smell of pot especially if you're in criminal justice as I am. I did not believe the mobile homes are healthy to live in much less raise children or have animals in and I believe that the landlord is just in it for the money & perks he gets for managing the property. Keep in mind that companies such as this will pay people or give them perks for leaving positive reviews on their website to bring in more business oh, this is a very common practice. I do not leave a negative comment to be mean or ugly just to put the truth out there and hopefully someone who cares me either by the property and bringing a new management team and do a better job with it or it'll just continue to run downhill.

Absolutely horrible place to live, choose some where else to rent from. The previous owners did a much better job at making the trailer park look decent now its simply a slum because the inexperienced maintenance person refuses to make repairs and if they do get done you typically have to fix it yourself because it wasn't done right or you may have to pull some teeth just to get work done. This is just bad business and laziness. Everyone hates living here all the trailers are run down and look like crazy due to maintenance not doing his job.. The next post will include names and phone numbers
