New Vision RV Park is strategically located at 13552 US-41, Oaktown, IN 47561, USA. This placement directly on U.S. Highway 41 is a double-edged sword for accessibility. On the one hand, it offers excellent direct access for RVs of all sizes, making it incredibly easy to find and navigate to, especially for those traveling north or south through Indiana. If you're coming from Vincennes, it's approximately 14 miles north on US-41. For those traveling from Terre Haute, it's about 45 miles south on US-41. The clear directions and prominent location on a major highway eliminate the stress of searching for the park, which is a significant convenience for weary travelers.
However, being directly on a main highway also means that some road noise might be present, as noted by past visitors. While the convenience of access is undeniable, campers sensitive to ambient noise should be aware that the sounds of passing traffic are a possibility, particularly for sites closer to the highway. Despite this, the park’s crushed limestone gravel interior roads are well-maintained, ensuring smooth navigation once inside the park for even the largest rigs. The overall accessibility makes it a practical choice for both overnight stops and longer stays, as it serves as an excellent jumping-off point for exploring nearby attractions in Vincennes, the first city in Indiana, or other local points of interest like Amish country and various state parks. The proximity to US-41 ensures that getting in and out of the park is straightforward, allowing more time for relaxation and adventure.

Customer Reviews
Poor lighting in the park and extremely hard to find the enterance due to construction and lack of a lighted sign. Noone replied to our messages and text when we got there and our spot was occupied. It wasn't unreasonably late, 10:30 on a Saturday night. Looks like most are seasonal campers who use unoccupied spaces to park personal vehicles. That made it hard to find an open spot. On the plus side the grounds were well cared for. We could have used military, AARP or Good Sam for discounts. Making a reservation online it asks you but doesn't apply the discount. It doesn't tell you to call instead either. All in all the experience was not one we wii repeat.
Nice people but the septic problems were huge. I was going to use the shower and the washer in the next room was spinning and soapy water came up thru a pump in the corner. And ran into the shower. I left. They said they fixed the problem but hubby went there and toilet wouldn’t flush or I should say the water wouldn’t go down. They said they fixed it again, and it was cleaned up, but when I went there you could see where water ran from the toilet into the shower. Hubby walked to the gas station to use their rest rooms. They have some major problems they need to get fixed. Gross.
This was a great little resort. All of the spots had full hookup and the location is well maintained. The pond is clean as well. We plan to stop and stay for about a week just to relax from the hustle and bustle on our next visit.
Great little park with its own pond, and the kids who own it (or run it or both), so accommodating! I really appreciate them so very much! It's also a Passport America park which makes such a great little RV park that much better for those of us who have to keep an ion are spending. I really appreciate them very much. I got 2 peaceful nights off the road and rode my ebike to a couple of produce stands and around Oaktown, it's all close by! What a great time! Oh, and if you want some excellent all you can eat food served pretty much buffet style, ( And I believe they cook pretty much all of it themselves!) Try McKinley Orchards Restaurant on Old US Highway 41, amazing, and maybe a mile away? Such great people and service! $20 bill gets you all you can eat on the dinner, fresh rolls, desserts, and all the lemonade I could drink and then some! So many reasons to give you to spend a little time at this quaint little park. And let me know if you find the swing that overlooks the pond, what a view! A huge shout out and heartfelt thank you to both of you for this much needed break. 🤗💖 And one more thing, they have propane here as well, the best price I've paid on having my rig topped in quite a long time. Stop in!
Very nice, laid back RV park with good rates. Owners are very friendly. Park grounds are well maintained and sites have two sewer connections instead of one which accommodates larger RVs with two bathrooms. We enjoyed the view of the pond and watching the little turtles peeking up from the water, the ducks and geese that seem to live there full time, and the fireflies in the evenings. The shower room and laundry are in the storm cellar of the main house/office building, so someone with mobility issues may have trouble accessing them. Also there is occasional noise from trains, and there is an active mining operation nearby, but with our fans and a/c running it really wasn't that noticeable unless we were outside. We will stay there again if we are ever back in the area.
