Introduction / Overview: Your Opportunity for Affordable Homeownership at Oakhill
Oakhill in Attleboro, Massachusetts, is more accurately defined as a manufactured housing community rather than a traditional mobile home park, representing an established and increasingly popular option for local residents seeking an affordable path to homeownership. Located at 1003 Oakhill Ave, this all-ages community offers a unique real estate model: residents own their dwelling—a modern manufactured home—while leasing the land beneath it. This structure significantly reduces the initial financial barrier to entry, making Oakhill a crucial part of the Southern Massachusetts affordable housing landscape.
Managed by Hometown America, Oakhill is designed to be a quiet, friendly, and family-oriented neighborhood. It offers a structured community environment with common areas and amenities intended to enhance the quality of life for its residents. For Massachusetts families, the chance to own a home in a well-located area without the prohibitive cost of site-built housing is a compelling benefit. While community management and the delivery of certain services have been subjects of public discussion, including the efforts of a residents’ association to advocate for tenant interests, the neighborhood continues to be a central and valued home for many in the Attleboro region.
The community prides itself on a quiet, neighborhood setting with well-kept, landscaped common areas. As local users know, finding a budget-friendly home that is also centrally located can be a major challenge in Massachusetts, and Oakhill aims to bridge that gap by providing a stable and organized residential park environment.
Location and Accessibility: The Advantage of Southern MA Proximity
Oakhill’s location in Attleboro, Massachusetts, is one of its most significant assets, providing residents with exceptional accessibility to key areas throughout Southern New England. Situated at 1003 Oakhill Ave, the community benefits from a strategic position that simplifies commuting and regional travel. Attleboro itself provides a charming, small-town atmosphere complete with a local downtown for essential services, shopping, and dining.
For residents, the connection to two major metropolitan hubs is invaluable. Oakhill is only approximately 14 miles from downtown Providence, Rhode Island, making it an easy drive for work, entertainment, and cultural events. The area also offers straightforward access to the greater Boston metropolitan area via major highways like Interstate 95 and Interstate 495. This means residents are well-positioned for diverse employment opportunities across two state economies.
Furthermore, the surrounding area provides access to a variety of natural attractions, including state forests, wildlife sanctuaries, and preserves, offering local families opportunities for outdoor recreation and short trails right near the community. The presence of public transportation access near the community entrance further enhances its convenience for those who do not wish to rely solely on personal vehicles.

For individuals and families in the Massachusetts area, Oakhill in Attleboro offers a powerful solution to the region's high cost of living. Its primary suitability lies in providing a genuine, and relatively affordable, homeownership option in a state where traditional real estate is often unattainable for moderate-income families. While prospective residents should be aware of the dynamics of land-lease communities, including the role of the residents' association in advocating for tenant rights, the park’s value remains high.
Oakhill allows local users to live in a convenient Southern Massachusetts location, enjoying a strong sense of community with fantastic neighbors, while maintaining easy access to employment hubs in Providence and Boston. The combination of its all-ages, family-friendly environment, manageable home prices, and necessary services bundled into the site fee makes Oakhill a practical and welcoming alternative for those seeking stability and community without the burden of a conventional mortgage, solidifying its place as a viable and important residential option in the region.

Update: such a major difference in a few short years☹️ I spend most time indoors due to a particular person moving in, we have no association due to lack of interest/information, there is no longer a library or laundry room, there are no welcome vibes by current management. love living in this community! It's nice to have a residents' association as a liaison for any issues that may come up, and our neighbors are fantastic

May 15, 2019 · Dorothy RadnorIt's nice and clean. The people that live there are so nice. The barn is great for birthday parties!
Nov 18, 2023 · Sherri PaulRun, don't walk. This place is terribly run, expensive and not worth the constant aggravation you'll experience. Being under the thumb of a giant corporation is stressful and the yearly increase of rent will leave you quickly living beyond your budget.
