Location and Accessibility
Old Salt RV Park is strategically located at 340 Co Rd 386, Port St Joe, FL 32456, USA. This address places it in a prime position that offers the best of both worlds: a quiet setting slightly removed from the direct beach traffic, yet incredibly close to the vibrant coastal communities of Mexico Beach and Saint Joe Beach. The park is noted to be "1000 feet from the sugar white beaches of Mexico Beach and Saint Joe Beach," making the beautiful coastline easily accessible.
Accessibility to the park is straightforward, with well-maintained roads leading to its location. While not directly beachfront, its slightly inland position helps minimize sand intrusion into RVs, a feature appreciated by many full-time RVers. As one reviewer noted, "It’s a little away from the beach, but still walkable. I preferred it as there was less sand getting into our RV." This also means easier access to public beach parking at the end of Highway 386 if you prefer to drive. The park’s location allows for convenient exploration of both Mexico Beach, which has made remarkable progress since Hurricane Michael, and the charming town of Port St. Joe, offering a variety of dining, shopping, and recreational opportunities.

Customer Reviews
We are full-time RVers but this is the first time we have been to Mexico Beach. The Old Salt RV Park it’s a very nice quiet, small campground. It’s a little away from the beach, but still walkable. I preferred it as there was less sand getting into our RV. They have excellent utilities and very good quality gravel spots. The town of Mexico Beach is fantastic. They’ve come a long way since hurricane Michael. The beach area is beautiful. The town is not very crowded. Most of the restaurants are in trucks now. But I understand as it’s easier to vacate during storms. We will definitely be coming back to Mexico Beach.
Andrea was VERY accommodating with booking and our arriving a little early. This place is pristine, spacious, and very close to the beach. Having a beach to walk my dog on is a bonus. (Gulf County) Oh, bikes available for use at no cost to campers. We will go back!
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here back in October. The sites are huge, immaculately maintained, and landscaped. The laundry mat has new professional grade washers and dryers that are super clean! The owner is so thoughtful of guests. There are beach carts and bicycles free of charge to use. The campground does not have a pool but this was not an issue for us because we were so close to the beach! The camp hosts were helpful and very kind. If you want a clean, affordable, and friendly place to stay this campground is for you! We are planning a trip back to this campground in the spring with our family! We can’t wait to come back!! P.S I am super picky!
Old Salt RV Park Review Old Salt RV Park is the perfect destination for relaxation and decompression. From the moment we arrived, the owner, Andrea, and the camp hosts made us feel right at home. Their warm hospitality set the tone for a truly enjoyable stay. The location is incredible—just steps from the beach! Not only could we soak in the beautiful views, but it was the ideal spot to let our golden retriever burn off energy and enjoy the sand and surf. What truly made this experience stand out were the incredible people we met and the thoughtful festivities organized by the RV park. These events brought everyone together and created a sense of community, making it feel like a home away from home. This park isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to recharge, connect, and find peace. If you’re looking for a serene environment with great company and beachside vibes, Old Salt RV Park is the place to be. We couldn’t be more thrilled with our stay and will absolutely be back!
Loved second visit to Old Salt! Great location. Great spot and close to the beach. Just be careful driving through park as small kids may be riding their bikes around the loop.
