Amazing mid size camp ground. Owners are extremely knowledgeable and helpful as well as friendly. Beautiful view of the lake with some great fishing. Playground on site for kids, mini golf, swimming pool. Boat rentals as well as kayaks, boat launch on site if you have your own. They even do a wagon ride around the grounds. Cabins are nice and cozy, recently remodeled decks that are absolutely amazing and the outdoor furniture is very nice and comfortable. Short drive to any major store you may need. New owners that are making the campground better and better each year. Past couple of weekends that I have gone they have had live music across the street in their giant pavilion, from a DJ to a legit Live band the whole camp ground comes together to have a great night. Aug 10, 2025 · laurie scottThe grounds are pretty and the neighbors are great, but the new management leaves a LOT to be desired. Extremely unfriendly and rude. It's like they want you to just pay and never see you or hear from you again. We tried to buy something at the little general store and, after getting eye rolls and looks of annoyance when we walked up, we were completely ignored by everyone. We ended up putting our stuff back and leaving. Whenever we spoke to the woman she acted like she would rather be doing anything else, and gave short snippy answers like we were inconveniencing her by speaking to her. The cabins are a hodge-podge of extremely outdated and worn out furniture. The "mattresses" for the bunk beds are thin dirty mats that have definitely seen better days and have holes worn in the outer layer. The faucet wasn't attached to the sink, the showers are very short/low, and the hot water was extremely unreliable. There is a warning about additional cleaning fees if you don't clean the place really well when you leave, however, it's clear they don't even clean the place between guests. There were dead bugs and insulation from the ceiling up in the loft, spiders and spider webs in the windows, etc. You ABSOLUTELY need to inquire about security and locks before you book as well.
Sep 08, 2025 · HeatherI don't know how we could have gotten a worse campsite. Granted, I made the reservation rather last minute (a few weeks ago), but they stuck us in a field with a rotted out board right in front of our camper door. While we were looking at the board trying to figure out which box took the 30 amp plug, I took a small step over to get a closer look at it and my foot nearly went down some sort of hole in the ground. When I regained my balance, I looked down and there was some sort of piping hole about the diameter of my shoe. Nothing around it to protect you from it and no sign saying to watch out for it. Hazardous! One old bathroom (no shower) for use by those of us parked in the field. What do they do on busy weekends? Out of all the campgrounds we've been to, this one was probably the worst. Thank God we were only there for one night on our way home from New York. I couldn't find anywhere to add pictures which disappointed me because I would like others to see what we saw when we parked our camper.
Aug 16, 2025 · Ellen MillerRecently spent holiday weekend at Paradise Bay. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. They have well planned activities you can choose to enjoy. The sites are clean and neighboring campers are friendly. The new owners are doing a great job and are readily available should you need anything. I highly recommend the stay at this family friendly campground!
