While specific, ongoing "promotions" in a commercial sense are not typically advertised for campgrounds managed by public entities like the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (which often oversees recreation areas on lakes like Percy Priest), campgrounds may offer various rates and seasonal considerations. Poole Knobs Campground's pricing structure, as noted in a review, indicates a difference in cost between water-front sites and those on higher ground. This can be seen as a built-in "offer" allowing campers to choose a site that best fits their budget and preference.
- Varied Site Pricing: Water-front sites may incur a higher fee (e.g., $100 more, as mentioned in a review) compared to non-water-front sites, allowing flexibility in booking.
- Senior/Military Discounts: Campgrounds operated by federal agencies (such as those on Corps of Engineers lakes) often honor America the Beautiful Passes, which include discounts for seniors, military personnel, and people with disabilities. It is advisable to inquire directly with the campground management if such discounts apply at Poole Knobs.
- Seasonal Rates: Pricing may vary based on the season, with off-peak times potentially offering lower rates or more availability.
- Long-Term Stay Options: While not explicitly stated, some campgrounds offer weekly or monthly rates that can be more economical for extended stays.

Customer Reviews
This campground is beautiful, quiet, clean! Is handicap accessible. The bathrooms are cleaned and stocked! The water sites are $100 more than the ones up the hill. It has rained but the old trees cover you in most places. I have a lot on my plate, and coming here has helped me step away and regroup. I wish I could have met up with people here. However, this place is not as full as I would expect it to be. There is a wonderful couple that manages the campsite. They will show once a day to be sure all is well with your stay! It is totally recommended for all reasons to get away and join the outside living!
On June 6 2025 I was preparing to checkout at noon at campsite 5. I was working on a model car and had some tea on table. It was about 9 am so I went to change clothes. When I came back the cleaners literally had my stuff in their cart. They were stealing my stuff and said they thought I was gone. I hadn't even checked out yet. Made formal complaint at office watch your stuff the cleaners are thieves. Just lucky I busted them in the act.
The Hubby & I had a blast this past Memorial Day weekend camping with our closest friends and thoroughly enjoyed the little Island we were able to camp on via our buddy’s boat getting us from Ramp to Island. The only thing I’ll complain about is If you’re arachnophobic, STAY AWAY! not only are there thousands of baby spiders literally everywhere you step… there are soooo many HUGE wolfies… I was not a fan and the last night, I didn’t even sleep. We lost it in the tent. 😩 So make sure you’re zipping and spraying bug repellent everywhere you can! 😅 Otherwise this was by far the coolest camping experience I’ve ever been on! *(We didn’t keep the pregnant 7.5 lb Catfish) lmao *Can’t Rate Rooms as we camped in our own Tents. 🏕️
Worst experience ever. The meanest workers I have ever met in my entire life. I tried to call early to see if they had any information about the swimming area, I was met with a woman who was very unkind who hung up on us. We called again later and were met with a man who said he doesn’t know anything about the surrounding area. We went today, we pulled up to the checking in area and parked. An older woman immediately started yelling at us and telling us we needed to stop…we were already parked in the lane to talk to her. She told us we should have made a reservation, we told her we were there to use the swimming area. She then got mad at us and said we should’ve said that already. When would we have time to? She rolled her eyes and told my friend to come get her pass. My friend got out and grabbed it, her perfume fell and the woman gave her a disgusted look as she looked her up and down, while my friend picked up her perfume. Absolutely disgusting behavior from someone who is supposed to be there to help. We were both excited to be there and she ruined that. We couldn’t find the swim area and she wouldn’t help. Don’t use the campground unless you wanna be yelled at over nothing.
What I give 5 stars...campsites...all gravel so be prepared to level up but love that I have room between me and my neighbor. Pretty roomy... Feel like you are outside. We have seen deer, raccoons, armadillos, a large while hairless opossum...my husband says it was way too big to be a 🐀🐁🐭., groundhogs, plenty of waterfowl, and a bald eagle nest. The campground hosts are excellent. Quiet. Now, what I would give three stars or less...the shape of the rest rooms, showers and be aware of the placement. All three restrooms are a climb up the hill. There are no restrooms around the main loop of the campground...so if you don't use your camper restroom or are not camping in a primitive spot on top of the hill....you are going to have a hike or a drive. Neither will be quick. Don't wait for an emergency! Also as a person who loves to camp..I am just putting this out there, time would be better spent keeping up with restrooms and shower rooms than blowing leaves off the road. Also, basically, lake recreation only
