Nestled on 3700 Woodstock Road in White River Junction, this destination offers an exceptional camping experience tailored for modern convenience while providing immediate access to the stunning natural beauty and historical charm of the region. Though familiar to many as the former Quechee / Pine Valley KOA Holiday, this now privately-owned and operated facility maintains an outstanding reputation, frequently lauded by guests for its commitment to cleanliness, exceptional staff, and robust list of features.
The campground is situated in a beautifully wooded, hilly, and terraced area, providing a visually appealing setting that feels immediately immersed in the Vermont landscape. It expertly caters to a diverse range of campers, from those traveling in the largest of motorhomes to families looking for a luxurious glamping experience in a deluxe cabin, or the traditionalists setting up a tent. A core focus of the park is accessibility and comfort; guests rave about the spacious, well-kept sites and the "truly accessible showers" that showcase the park's dedication to guest well-being.
Locals often praise the facility as the perfect 'basecamp'—a comfortable, fully-equipped home away from home that allows for seamless exploration of iconic regional landmarks like the Quechee Gorge, Woodstock, and the nearby Appalachian Trail. Location and Accessibility
Quechee Pine Valley Campground is strategically located at 3700 Woodstock Rd, White River Junction, VT 05001, USA. Its address places it on Route 4, a major artery, making it easily accessible for Vermont residents traveling from any direction. The location is frequently cited as "excellent" for its convenience to the highway while still being tucked into a wooded area that retains a sense of seclusion.
The campground’s position in the Upper Valley means it is seconds off the highway and within short driving distance of many popular local attractions. It is just a few miles from the famous Quechee Gorge, known as "Vermont's Little Grand Canyon," offering breathtaking views and hiking trails. The picturesque town of Woodstock, with its quintessential New England charm, covered bridges, and historical sites like the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park and Billings Farm & Museum, is approximately 20 minutes away. Additionally, the location provides convenient access to popular local hotspots like the Simon Pearce restaurant and glass factory, as well as the King Arthur Baking School and Store. This central positioning makes it an optimal launching point for day trips into both Vermont and neighboring New Hampshire, including Dartmouth College in Hanover.
The internal roads are a mix of asphalt and gravel, reflecting the hilly terrain. While some back-in sites may present a "trailer maneuvering learning experience" for beginners, the park is clearly set up to accommodate large rigs, offering pull-thru, pull-in, and back-in options, with site escorts available to guide guests to their spots.

Just for the record this is no longer a KOA franchise campground. This is privately owned and overall a very nice place to stay. The roads are a mix of asphalt and gravel and all the sites are gravel. Overall the sites are pretty level and spacious and size for a commercial campground. Although some of them, the ones you have to back into, can be a little tight to get into. It can definitely be a trailer maneuvering learning experience. Anyway they have a pool in season, a pretty nice camp store, a dog park, nature trail, fishing pond (small) and a great playground for kids. There are two comfort stations with restrooms and showers; one down on the level, and one up on the hill.
Sep 21, 2025 · Rick AdkinsI've stayed in multiple campgrounds in at least 30 of the states in the US. This is by far the BEST. It's the first time I've seen truly accessible showers that included the toilet as well. Everything was clean and well kept. Staff was amazing. Location was excellent. Would highly recommend other campgrounds to follow their lead. Thanks for a wonderful stay June 2025!
Jul 27, 2025 · Kathy WhiteBeautiful, clean and spacious sites. Our site had a grill beautiful patio, fire pit and adirondak chairs. Not all site have them but quite a few do. I can't say enough about the staff. Friendly, courteous and kind don't begin to describe them. We will be back for sure!!
Jun 15, 2025 · April CarrollLovely and quiet campground, great for older couples and young families. Wonderful location for visiting scenic areas close by. We had the privilege of seeing a hot air balloon pass right over our campsite.
Jul 27, 2025 · Julie SweetA good place to stay. The bathrooms were mostly clean and were private. The floors were a bit dirty and no paper towels for the two days we visited. Most of the holiday-style amenities were unused as the season has perhaps not kicked off yet. We mistakenly chose a pull-in rather than a pull-through site. We asked the attendant if we could change and he came back and told us no pull-throughs were available. However, we noticed two that stayed vacant both nights we were there. So that raised questions in our minds. Maybe those people canceled, either way, they did not seem to want to bother with us. So we had to disconnect and leave our car dolly down the hill and hook back up in the rain the day of departure. Not the end of the world for sure but most KOAs go out of their way to assist and certainly it also means we would have paid more for the spots that sat empty. Overall more of a journey than a holiday vibe.
