Located in East Des Moines, this park has been a part of the city's residential landscape for decades, with some sources indicating its operation dating back to the 1950s. It offers a distinct form of affordable housing, providing residents with an option to own their home while renting the lot space.
As with many established communities, Radio City Mobile Home Park has evolved over time. While its longevity speaks to its role in providing housing, prospective residents should be aware that, according to some recent reviews, the park may present certain challenges. These observations highlight concerns about the age of some units, potential for disrepair, and ongoing maintenance. However, for those seeking a long-term, community-focused living arrangement within Des Moines, understanding the park's characteristics and weighing them against personal housing needs is key. Its presence in Des Moines signifies an accessible option for manufactured home living, offering a unique urban experience for Iowans.
Radio City Mobile Home Park is conveniently situated at 3848 E 14th St #70, Des Moines, IA 50313, USA. This address places it in East Des Moines, offering residents direct access to the city's amenities and services. For Iowans, particularly those working or studying in Des Moines, the park's urban location provides a practical and accessible living solution.
The park's proximity to major roadways, including E 14th Street, ensures relatively easy commutes to various parts of Des Moines. This arterial road connects residents to downtown, commercial centers, and other neighborhoods. Public transportation options may also be available nearby, contributing to the park's accessibility for those who rely on bus services.
Despite being an established community, the park's internal road network has been a point of feedback, with some reviews describing the roads as "dangerous and way too narrow" and named after "Hollywood actors of the period." This unique naming convention speaks to its historical character, but the practical implications for navigation within the park, especially with larger vehicles, are worth noting.
The park's location in East Des Moines also places it within a reasonable distance of various city parks, shopping centers, and essential services. While the immediate surroundings might reflect the age of the community, the broader Des Moines area offers a wealth of opportunities for recreation, employment, and daily necessities. This combination of an established urban location with straightforward access to city amenities makes Radio City Mobile Home Park a centrally located option for mobile home living in Iowa's capital.

For Iowans considering Radio City Mobile Home Park, the "offer" is primarily the access to an established mobile home lot in Des Moines. For Iowa locals, particularly those seeking an accessible and potentially more affordable housing option within the Des Moines metropolitan area, Radio City Mobile Home Park offers a unique consideration. Its primary suitability lies in its long-standing presence and central location in East Des Moines. For individuals or families who prioritize being within city limits, close to employment opportunities, schools, and urban amenities, the park’s address provides a distinct advantage over more suburban or rural alternatives.
The concept of mobile home living itself appeals to a segment of the Iowa population looking for a different approach to homeownership or long-term rental. Owning a manufactured home while renting the lot can offer a lower entry point into homeownership compared to traditional stick-built houses in Des Moines. This can be particularly appealing to those on a budget or those who prefer the flexibility that mobile home living can sometimes offer.
However, it is crucial for Iowans considering Radio City Mobile Home Park to approach it with a clear understanding of the full picture, as highlighted by recent resident feedback. While the park offers a central location and a history as an established community, concerns regarding consistent rent increases, maintenance of common areas, and the condition of some older units are significant. For locals who are prepared to conduct thorough due diligence, including visiting the park in person, speaking with current residents if possible, and getting explicit clarifications on all terms and conditions from management, Radio City Mobile Home Park could still serve as a viable housing solution within the Des Moines market. It represents a part of the city's diverse housing fabric, and for the right individual or family who understands its particular characteristics, its urban accessibility and the potential for community living could make it a suitable choice.

The rent keeps going up $30 every 6-8 months! The place is trashy, and nothing gets updated. The manager refuses to allow anyone to contact the owner, and any repairs that need to be done and paid for by the owner are fobbed off on the renters.
Feb 20, 2025 · Molly RosalesIt's from the 1950s, and I believe most of the trailers are original and most are in a state of disrepair. The roads are named after Hollywood actors of the period, and they also are dangerous and way too narrow. There is trash and debris throughout the trailer court.

Feb 10, 2025 · Malik HarrisRoads are horrible to drive on.. ruin ur car.. no parking.. management is horrible.. never in the office.. works maybe 4 to 5 hours a day if she decides to come in at all.. avoids phone calls.. never returns calls.. when my daughter tries to sell her trailer buyers wud fill out applicatiion and last person has waited multiple days to hear back.. and management also avoided their calls and never returned them... BAD MANAGEMENT!! Stray animals and wild animals as in raccoons running all over getting into garbage constantly.. not even a nice place to invite company over!! Lot rent is Way to high!!!
Apr 01, 2017 · Melissa WiestI lived there comfortably for years...I miss it. Home is what you make it. However, since the newer office staff have been added, I feel discriminated against as a Caucasian woman. They state on my record that I was evicted ...SO NOT TRUE..I sold my home to a Hispanic family very cheap, I took a major loss to help them out. I'm LIVID and plan to pursue legal action against management. Their inaccurate reporting about my rental history has caused a major delay in my real life goals.
