It’s the perfect spot to escape the crowds and embrace a more relaxed pace of life.

Location and Accessibility

Rambling RVs is conveniently located at 1109 Waterfront Ln, Kemp, TX 75143, USA. This address places the park right by the lake, offering excellent proximity to Cedar Creek Lake, one of the largest and most popular lakes in Texas. For RVers who enjoy fishing, boating, or simply taking in picturesque lakeside views, this location is a significant advantage, providing easy access to water-based recreation.

Kemp, Texas, is situated in Henderson County and offers a small-town atmosphere with access to essential amenities. While enjoying the peaceful, private setting of Rambling RVs, guests are still within reasonable driving distance to local shops, restaurants, and services in Kemp and nearby communities. This balance ensures that you can experience the tranquility of a country setting without being too far removed from daily necessities.

A point to note regarding accessibility, as mentioned in customer reviews, is the presence of "low hanging trees along roadway" leading to the park. While this is not the owner's fault and he has no control over public roads, it's an important consideration for travelers with tall RVs. It's advisable for those with high rigs to plan their route carefully and potentially contact the owner for guidance on the best approach to avoid any scrapes. Despite this minor navigational note, once inside the park, guests are rewarded with beautiful grounds and shaded lots, making the journey worthwhile for those seeking a quiet lakeside retreat in East Texas.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For Texans, Rambling RVs in Kemp, TX, offers a highly suitable and appealing option for their RV adventures, particularly for those who prioritize a quieter, more personal, and shaded experience away from crowded parks. This small, private haven caters directly to the preferences of many local RV enthusiasts.

The most significant advantage for Texans is its emphasis on privacy and a less congested environment. In a state where RV parks can sometimes feel "cram packed," Rambling RVs provides a refreshing contrast, offering "very nice lots" and a general sense of tranquility. This allows locals to truly unwind, enjoy their surroundings, and experience the peace of the Texas countryside, a highly valued aspect of any getaway. The "very shaded lots" are also a huge plus in the Texas heat, providing natural comfort and energy savings, which is something every Texan RVer appreciates.

The personal touch provided by owner Ray, described as "super friendly, and helpful," resonates deeply with Texan hospitality. Locals appreciate supporting small, family-run businesses where they receive genuine, individualized attention. Ray's commitment to "always improveing it" shows a dedication to his guests and the park, fostering a sense of care and community that is often missing in larger, more impersonal establishments. This personal connection makes guests feel truly welcomed and valued.

Furthermore, its location right by Cedar Creek Lake is a major draw for Texans who love water recreation. Easy access to one of the state's popular lakes for fishing, boating, or simply enjoying the lakeside ambiance means less travel time and more leisure time. While the access road with low-hanging trees is a consideration for tall rigs, the payoff of a quiet, shaded spot near the lake is often worth the careful navigation for discerning locals.

Finally, the "fair prices" combined with essential hookups (30 amp, sewer, water) make it a practical and economical choice. Texans are astute about value, and Rambling RVs offers a high-quality, peaceful experience without an exorbitant price tag, making it an accessible option for regular escapes.

In conclusion, Rambling RVs is perfectly suited for Texans seeking a private, peaceful, and shaded RV experience with the added bonus of friendly, hands-on ownership and convenient lake access. It’s a true local gem for those who prefer quality over quantity and a genuine connection with their surroundings.

Nice small private RV park with cabins right by the lake. To get to this places tho there are some low hanging trees along roadway. This is not the owners fault and he has no control. A tall rig will very likely get a scrape before you even arrive, for sure if you come along certain roads. Very nice small park, the owner Ray is super fiendly, and helpful. Has only 30 amp, but does have sewer and water hookups, no wifi as of yet. He seems to be always improveing it which is great. Very shaded lots. Prices are fair. Highly recommend over cram packed RV Park.

We tried to get to this park in a motorhome, huge mistake! The trees are so overgrown they scratched the paint and almost damaged the air conditioner. The roads are not maintained and are washed out. The road is so narrow we had to pull as far to the ditch as possible and stop for cars going the opposite direction. Almost every house we passed should of been condemned. So sad to see people living like that. There is a poisonous snake warning on their sign in the picture. We went back to the main road and purchased a spot at the marina. Its a little christian owned mom and pop place. Quiet, we stayed on the water. 50 amp hook up. The area is covered with those little round stickers that dig in and are hard to get out. We couldnt stake the dogs out. Every time we walked them we had to cut the burrs out of their fur. Wish someone had warned us NOT to attempt Ramblings in anything other than a truck. I would warn not to pull a trailer there either but maybe there is some secret way in we didn't know about.
