Riverside RV Park offers a unique blend of convenience and rustic charm. It’s a place where you can park your RV with full hookups, or opt for a more traditional camping experience on a primitive lot. The true allure, however, lies in its direct access to the Withlacoochee River. This legendary waterway, celebrated for its natural beauty and abundant wildlife, provides endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. Imagine spending your days kayaking, boating, or casting a line for some catch-and-release fishing, all just steps from your campsite.

The new management is dedicated to restoring Riverside RV Park to its full potential, ensuring it remains a welcoming and picturesque destination. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, a base for river adventures, or even a serene spot to call home for a while, Riverside RV Park invites you to discover its renewed charm.

Location and Accessibility

Riverside RV Park is ideally situated at 7961 Co Rd 647, Bushnell, FL 33513, USA. This location places it directly on the beautiful and serene Withlacoochee River, a highlight for any nature lover in Florida. The park benefits from its setting where Bushnell (Sumter County) and Nobleton (Hernando County) intersect, providing a somewhat secluded feel while remaining accessible.

The Withlacoochee River itself is a significant draw. Flowing from the Green Swamps to the Gulf of Mexico, it's considered one of Florida's most scenic rivers. The campground's direct access to this waterway makes it a prime spot for various water-based activities, which is a major advantage for local Floridians who appreciate the state's natural springs and rivers.

For accessibility, Riverside RV Park is well-positioned relative to major Florida roadways. It's located near I-75, US 19, US 27, US 50, and Florida's Turnpike, all within a 25-mile radius. This network of highways provides easy access from various parts of Central Florida and beyond, making it a convenient destination for weekend trips or longer seasonal stays for Floridians.

While nestled in a more rural area, the campground is still within a reasonable driving distance of essential amenities and popular attractions. It's close to the Withlacoochee State Forest, offering extensive opportunities for hiking, biking, and horseback riding on the longest paved trail in the state (the Withlacoochee State Trail). Additionally, local flea markets, antique shops, and community events are often a short drive away, providing entertainment and conveniences.

Larger metropolitan areas such as Orlando and Tampa are approximately an hour to an hour and a half drive, allowing residents to enjoy a peaceful natural setting while having the option for day trips to world-famous theme parks, diverse dining, and extensive shopping. This balance of natural immersion and practical accessibility makes Riverside RV Park a highly suitable location for Florida locals.

Promotions or Special Offers

With Riverside RV Park now under new management as of February 1st, 2025, the primary "promotions" revolve around the promise of significant improvements and a revitalized experience. While specific, fixed discount codes or seasonal offers may develop as the new management settles in, the current "special offers" are more experiential and value-based:

  • Opportunity to Experience a Revitalized Park: The most significant "promotion" is the invitation to "Please come on out if you need a lot to rent" and witness the ongoing transformation. This is an offer to be part of the park's journey to becoming "cleaned up and will look great again," implying a strong commitment to enhancing the guest experience.

  • Availability of Primitive Lots: The mention of "primitive lots for camping available also" is a promotional point for tent campers or those seeking a more rustic, potentially more affordable, overnight experience compared to full RV hookups.

  • Direct River Access and Activities Included: The inherent value of direct boat and kayak access to the Withlacoochee River, along with "catch and release fishing," is a continuous "offer" for outdoor enthusiasts. While kayak/canoe rentals have a fee, the ability to engage in these activities directly from the park adds immense value to the stay.

  • New Management's Commitment: The review highlights that the new manager, Glen, is "really trying to clean up the area and making renovations of Electrical hookups, the Community Center, Laundry House, Restrooms/Shower Rooms and Fishing Pier/Boat dock." This commitment to tangible improvements acts as a strong promotional message, indicating a dedication to guest satisfaction and a better future experience.

  • Competitive Lot Rent for RV Owners: The review also notes, "if you own your own RV, you cannot beat the lot rent," suggesting that the pricing for long-term RV sites is highly competitive, which is a significant "offer" for those considering a seasonal or permanent base in Florida.

For the most current information on specific rates, potential discounts (e.g., for long-term stays or early bookings under new management), or any grand re-opening specials, it is highly recommended to contact the park directly. Riverside RV park has the potential to be a beautiful sanctuary. If the manager and owner would put just a little bit of effort into some landscaping, painting, and a little cleaning up. This place could be a grade A establishment. Not to mention turn a large profit. It's sad to see a diamond in the rough being passed over like an old rock. I live here and have decided to show the people here the potential this place has by making an example of my place. Well, see how things go. Maybe I'll get to add some positive feedback and nice pics in a few months. A new manager would be the first step in turning this place around.
