Nestled in the charming area of Bushnell, 55+ Wynnhaven on the Withlacoochee LLC presents itself as a cozy and inviting option for those seeking tranquility and direct access to Florida's natural beauty.

55+ Wynnhaven on the Withlacoochee LLC is positioned as a haven for active adults who appreciate a peaceful environment and the convenience of being close to nature. Its name itself highlights a key feature: direct access to the scenic Withlacoochee River, a significant draw for fishing enthusiasts, kayakers, and nature lovers. The community prides itself on offering an "Old Florida Charm," evoking a sense of timeless peace amidst large Cypress, Oaks, and Magnolia trees, along with various flowering plants, creating an ideal setting for bird watching and observing local wildlife.

The essence of a 55+ community like Wynnhaven is to foster a comfortable and engaging environment for residents. It’s a place where neighbors share similar life stages and interests, often leading to strong social bonds and a supportive atmosphere. The emphasis is typically on providing a relaxing backdrop for retirement, with amenities that facilitate both quiet enjoyment and community interaction. For Floridians looking to downsize, simplify their lives, and embrace a more active outdoor retirement, such a community can be highly appealing.

Based on customer reviews, the park is described as a "Nice, cozy little mobile home park with boat ramp access point to the Withlacoochee River." This reinforces the primary highlight of the community – its direct connection to the river, which is a significant asset for water-based recreation. Another review, from a kayaker who had been on a multi-day trip, lauded the park's "Decent boat ramp. Plenty of space to operate. Parking and a small store for basic things and a clean bathroom. Folks there are very nice and hospitable." This feedback points to the park's practical amenities and a friendly, welcoming staff, which are crucial elements for a positive living experience in any community. The mention of a "Big Fish General Store & Deli" (though noted as being on summer break in one description, implying seasonal operation) suggests a convenient on-site resource for daily needs and a potential spot for community interaction. Furthermore, the notion that "in the winter musicians gather weekly at our park pavillion" hints at a lively social scene during peak seasons, offering residents opportunities for entertainment and camaraderie.

While the provided information is largely positive, focusing on the charm and accessibility, potential residents are always encouraged to conduct thorough inquiries. This includes understanding the specifics of lot rent, any community rules, and ensuring all advertised amenities meet their personal expectations. However, the consistent theme of a friendly, hospitable environment and excellent river access makes 55+ Wynnhaven on the Withlacoochee LLC a noteworthy option for Floridians seeking a tranquil and active 55+ lifestyle.

After 3 cold days and 31.5 miles of Kayak camping, it was nice to get out here. Decent boat ramp. Plently of space to operate. Parking and a small store for basic things and a clean bathroom. Folks there are very nice and hospitable. But please do avoid the Withlacoochee River RV park and canoe rental. Its a dump and very sketchy, they have a rotten pile of pallets for a launch and a porta potty.

We went on a Monday, store was closed. But we could NOT even use the bathroom 🚻 IT WAS LOCKED. We used the picnic area while we switched riders on an airboat. We paid the $5.00 for parking, we did not have a trailer/boat. We were told the restrooms were available. So we had to find other means for restrooms. Overall dock and picnic area was nice compared to the one on 622C.

They were so rude and stuck up. They acted as if they were better than their customers. Well it's not like they are royalty. They own/operate a small store. It's not the Hilton. I don't plan on revisiting ever again if I can help it.
