Robin's Nest RV Park About
For Florida RV enthusiasts seeking a convenient base in the heart of the state, Robin's Nest RV Park in Silver Springs presents a straightforward option. This RV park caters to those looking for full hookup sites and easy access to the natural beauty and attractions that the Ocala and Silver Springs area are famous for. It’s a place where you can park your rig and explore the surrounding region, whether you’re passing through or considering a longer-term stay.
Robin's Nest RV Park is designed to accommodate various types of RVs, offering essential amenities to make your stay practical. However, it's important for prospective residents and visitors to be aware that experiences can vary significantly. While some aspects of the park, such as its convenient location and basic hookups, may be appealing, past reviews from customers indicate challenges related to park maintenance, community dynamics, and overall living conditions. One reviewer described it as "Hell on earth" due to "People all in your business and love to cause problems," while also praising "Heather a great person to deal" and acknowledging that some neighbors were helpful. Another review highlighted concerns about the park being "disgusting," with "Trash and feral cats everywhere" and issues with "faulty electric" and "moldy bathroom tile." These reviews emphasize the critical importance for anyone considering a stay to conduct thorough personal inspection and direct communication with current management to ensure the park meets their individual expectations for comfort, cleanliness, and community environment.
Despite these reported issues, an RV park like Robin's Nest can still serve a niche for Floridians. For those who prioritize affordability and a basic, no-frills place to hook up their RV with access to central Florida's attractions, it might be a consideration. The key is to manage expectations and gather the most current information directly from the park. It’s about finding a practical spot where your RV can reside, allowing you to venture out and enjoy the wider Florida experience.
Robin's Nest RV Park is located at 13400 NE 1st Street Rd, Silver Springs, FL 34488, USA. This address places it in a reasonably accessible area within Silver Springs, offering a balance between a natural setting and proximity to essential services and regional attractions.
The park's location provides convenient access to the celebrated Silver Springs State Park, a mere walking distance away according to some listings. This is a significant advantage for nature lovers, allowing easy visits to the famous glass-bottom boat tours, the pristine springs, and various walking trails. The expansive Ocala National Forest is also within a short driving distance, offering a multitude of outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and exploring more natural springs.
For daily necessities, the park is situated within a few miles of local businesses, including grocery stores, restaurants, and other retail outlets in Silver Springs and the broader Ocala area. The city of Ocala, with its wider array of shopping centers, dining options, healthcare facilities, and cultural venues, is approximately a 22-minute drive away, ensuring that urban conveniences are never too far.
Major roadways, including State Road 40 and other local routes, are easily accessible from the park. This connectivity allows for straightforward travel to other popular Florida destinations. Gainesville is about a 54-minute drive north, and major metropolitan areas like Orlando (home to world-famous theme parks) are approximately an hour and a half to two hours southeast. This puts Robin's Nest RV Park in a central location for exploring much of what Central Florida has to offer, making it a potentially convenient stop for those touring the state or seeking a longer-term base.
Robin's Nest RV Park provides the fundamental services expected from an RV park, focusing on the essential needs of its residents and visitors.
- Full Hookup RV Sites: The park offers sites equipped with full hookups, typically including 30 and 50 amp electric service, water, and sewer connections for RVs. Some sources indicate 50 pull-through sites are available.
- Restrooms and Showers: Public restrooms and hot showers are available on-site for guest use. However, it is important to note that one past review specifically mentioned "bathroom tile was cracked and moldy," indicating that the condition of these facilities may vary and should be personally assessed upon arrival.
- Laundry Facilities: On-site laundry services are provided, adding convenience for both short-term and long-term residents.
- Pet-Friendly: Robin's Nest RV Park is generally a pet-friendly campground, allowing residents to bring their furry companions. Specific restrictions or fees for pets should be confirmed directly with park management.
- WiFi Access: While some listings suggest WiFi is available, one resource indicates it might be limited to the clubhouse and pool area, or available at a cost for site access. Connectivity reliability might be a factor to confirm.
- LP Gas Availability: Some information suggests that LP gas might be available for purchase on site.
Due to conflicting information and past negative reviews regarding park conditions, it is highly recommended that prospective residents and visitors contact the park directly to confirm the current status and availability of all services and to inquire about any recent updates or renovations.
Robin's Nest RV Park, despite some reported challenges, possesses several features and highlights that are common to RV parks and may be of interest to potential residents.
- Full Hookup Sites: The availability of full 30/50 amp hookups on pull-through sites is a significant convenience for RVers, simplifying setup and providing essential utilities. Max RV length for sites is often cited around 38ft, but some sources mention 60ft, so confirmation is key.
- Proximity to Silver Springs State Park: Being within walking distance of the iconic Silver Springs State Park is a major draw, offering easy access to glass-bottom boat tours, swimming, paddling, and exploring the natural springs and trails.
- Shaded Sites: Many of the camping sites are noted to be "Live Oak Tree Shaded," providing natural cooling and a pleasant aesthetic, especially beneficial during Florida's warmer months.
- Pet-Friendly Environment: The park generally welcomes pets, which is a key feature for RV owners traveling with their animal companions, though specific rules and designated walking paths should be confirmed.
- Community Facilities: Some sources suggest amenities like a heated pool with lounging area, shuffleboard, bocce ball, cornhole, ping pong, a pool table, and a game room ("The Green Room") for activities like cards, bingo, and crafts. Planned activities such as Saturday breakfasts, live entertainment, dances, potlucks, cookouts, ice cream socials, and movie nights are also mentioned on some associated websites (though it's crucial to verify if these are currently offered and maintained).
- Paved Roads: The presence of paved roads within the park can make maneuvering RVs easier and contribute to a cleaner environment.
It is crucial to re-emphasize the importance of verifying the current condition and active availability of these features directly with park management. Past reviews have highlighted concerns regarding cleanliness and upkeep ("disgusting. Trash...everywhere," "bathroom tile was cracked and moldy"), as well as community dynamics ("People all in your business and love to cause problems," "kids destroys the park"), suggesting that the actual experience of these features may vary significantly from their ideal state.
As with many privately-owned RV parks, especially those with varying reputations, specific public "promotions" or detailed special offers might not be extensively advertised. The pricing structure for Robin's Nest RV Park typically involves daily, weekly, monthly, and potentially seasonal rates.
Some online sources provide an estimated rate range, for example, monthly rates ranging from approximately $595 (off-season basic) to $825 (peak season premium 50-Amp), with seasonal rates also available. There might be additional fees for extra persons, visitors, or electric sub-metering for longer stays. Deposits for monthly or seasonal stays are also common.
The most reliable way to inquire about current rates, any available discounts for extended stays (e.g., monthly or seasonal), or potential move-in specials is to contact Robin's Nest RV Park directly. It's always advisable to discuss your specific needs, the type of site you require, and the length of your intended stay to get the most accurate pricing and to ask about any current incentives they may offer, which are often not broadly advertised. Due to the varied past reviews, understanding the current rate structure and what is included is particularly important.

Its primary suitability for locals lies in its convenient location, providing easy access to the renowned Silver Springs State Park and the wider Ocala National Forest, allowing residents to readily enjoy Florida's natural attractions. Customer Reviews
Place is disgusting. Trash and feral cats everywhere. The cats uses your lot as a litterbox. The adults don't watch their kids, so the kids destroys the park.... And the owner does not care about any of this
I give it two stars cause of Heather a great person to deal , but other than that it's Hell on earth. People all in your business and love to cause problems. But 3 if my neighbors were good to me, they helped out with stuff and never turned their backs on me while I was there. So if you move there stay completely to yourself and watch who you connect with, wolf in sheep clothing. Make sure you check everything out completely and keep up with the appliances they are not new .
My husband and I signed our papers almost 2 weeks ago! We are excited and looking forward to finally moving into our new spot in July. We’ve already met a few people and they seem nice. We met Heather the manager and she’s awesome.
Nathan the owner is very professional & down to earth. I also had the pleasure to meet Heather from management and she is a delightful woman! The park is going through new renovations, including palm trees throughout the park and a brand new sign.
I am moving into my unit today I'm so excited!!! Heather, Phillip and Will have been very friendly and helpful. I think I'm going to be quite happy there. I love that we will have lake access soon and there is so much to explore in the forest.
