- Annual Camp Meeting: The cornerstone of Rock Springs Campground, the annual camp meeting is a historic religious event held each year, with services typically beginning the first Sunday in August and continuing for two to three weeks. These services are held under a historic arbor, a large, open structure built in 1832 that can seat up to 1,000 people. It's a time for spiritual reflection, fellowship, and community gathering.
- "Tent" Rentals/Occupancy: While not traditional camping in the modern sense, the campground features numerous permanent, rustic wooden structures known as "tents." These "tents" are often passed down through generations and provide a unique accommodation experience during the annual camp meeting. The right to occupy these structures is a cherished tradition.
- Community Gathering Space: Beyond the annual camp meeting, the campground serves as a vital community gathering space, hosting various events throughout the year.
- Facilities for Events: The grounds and structures, particularly the large arbor, are conducive for hosting large gatherings, concerts, and other community-focused events.
- Historic Arbor: The most iconic feature of Rock Springs Campground is its hand-hewn timber arbor, built in 1832. This open-sided structure, with its deep hipped roof and ventilation cap, serves as the main gathering place and focal point for religious services and community events. It’s a remarkable piece of history that continues to be actively used.
- Unique "Tent" Structures: The campground is surrounded by 288 numbered wooden "tents" arranged in concentric rings around the arbor. These are not temporary shelters but permanent, rustic dwellings, many of which have been in the same families for over a century, creating a strong sense of heritage and continuity.
- Sense of Community and Tradition: Rock Springs Campground is renowned for its strong sense of community and the preservation of multi-generational traditions. Many families have been attending the annual camp meeting and occupying the same "tents" for decades, fostering deep bonds and shared experiences.

- Unplugged Experience: For those seeking a break from modern distractions, Rock Springs offers a truly "unplugged" experience. As noted on their website, there's "no air, no heat, no phones, no TV – only family, friends, food, and worship." This intentional simplicity allows for genuine connection and a focus on the core values of the gathering.
- Spiritual Significance: For many, Rock Springs Camp Meeting Ground is a deeply spiritual place, a "holy ground for spiritual revival" distinct from everyday religious environments. It's a place where faith is renewed and strengthened.

Customer Reviews
What a great place filled with great people. We love coming and helping out in shack every year.
Awesome car show today. Place was packed!
What a wonderful evening of music, Christian fellowship, and good old fashioned living. I'll be back next year for sure.
Went to see Ernie Haas and Signature Sound and it was a great evening even though it was very warm! The people sitting around me were very welcoming and one woman even offered to buy me a hot dog while I was waiting for my friend to show up. I enjoyed the show and the fellowship immensely.
These are the most loving, caring people whom I have ever met. In one week, they became great friends. In changing times, the camp meetings has maintained the spirit and content of "the old time religion" but the leadership are laity of open minds, winsome personalities, and Christian hearts. I love them!
