This prime location places it in Huntingdon County, in the central region of Pennsylvania, right on the shores of Raystown Lake, between lake markers 8 and 9. This makes it an incredibly accessible destination for residents throughout Pennsylvania.
The campground is part of the larger Seven Points Recreation Area, which serves as the main hub of activity for the lake. For your convenience, the campground is strategically located approximately one mile from essential services, including groceries, bait, tackle, and gas – a significant advantage when you're out in nature. The nearby city of Huntingdon, just 11 miles north, offers a wider array of restaurants, shopping, and theaters for those looking for a taste of town life. Access to Seven Points is straightforward, with clear driving directions available from major routes like US 30 and I-80 via PA 26, making it an easy drive for most Pennsylvanians. This balance of secluded natural beauty and convenient access to amenities truly elevates the camping experience at Seven Points.
Diverse Campsite Options: The Meadow Camp Loop offers a variety of spacious campsites, many with 50-amp electric hookups, suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs. Each site generally includes a picnic table, fire grill, and lantern hanger. Meadow Camp is known for its "buddy sites" (44-59 and 68-86) which can accommodate up to two wheeled units, two tents, and 15 people, perfect for larger groups or multiple families camping together. There are also universally accessible sites (79 and 81) within Meadow Camp.
Clean Restroom Facilities: Meadow Camp Loop features dedicated restroom facilities. Most loops within Seven Points, including Meadow, have heated showers and flush toilets, ensuring a comfortable experience for campers. There is also a universal access restroom available upon request.
Water Access and Disposal: Drinking water access is available within the loops, though campers should note that hoses may not be attached directly to spigots in camping areas; water tanks can be filled at the main Seven Points dump station or with portable jugs. A centralized dump station is available for RV and trailer waste disposal.
Playgrounds in Each Loop: To ensure families with children have ample entertainment, each camping loop, including Meadow Camp, is equipped with a playground, providing a safe and fun area for kids to play.
Access to Full-Service Marina: Seven Points Marina, a full-service facility, is easily accessible from the campground. It offers boat rentals, lake cruises (like the Proud Mary Showboat), gas, and supplies. There's also a restaurant, Memories at the Dock, for convenient dining options.
Bike and Kayak Rentals: For those looking to explore Raystown Lake and its extensive trail system, bike and kayak rentals are available through the marina, providing convenient access to these popular outdoor activities.
Visitor Center and Interpretive Programs: The Raystown Lake Visitor Center, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau, is located nearby. It offers maps, information, a gift shop, and hosts educational and entertainment programs at the amphitheater, especially on summer weekends.
Direct Lake Access and Views: A major highlight of Seven Points Campground, particularly in loops like Meadow (though Point and Senoia have more waterfront sites), is its excellent proximity to Raystown Lake. Many sites offer good views, and guests consistently praise the ease of access to the lake for boating, fishing, swimming, and various water sports.
World-Class Mountain Biking Trails: Seven Points is a mecca for mountain bikers, boasting access to the Allegrippis Trails and a mountain biking skills park near the Visitor Center. These 50 miles of single-track trails are considered some of the best flow trails on the East Coast and are rated as the #1 trail system in Pennsylvania.
Spacious and Well-Maintained Sites: Reviews consistently highlight the large, well-maintained, and often private campsites. Many sites feature gravel pads, edged with timbers, providing ample space for camping units and outdoor living with picnic tables and fire rings.
Family-Friendly Environment: With playgrounds in each loop, a swimming beach, and a wide array of activities suitable for all ages, Seven Points Campground is highly regarded as a family-friendly destination. The interactive nature of lake activities and the safety of the park contribute to its appeal for families.

Proximity to Attractions: Beyond the immediate lake activities, campers can easily take day trips to nearby attractions such as Lincoln Caverns, the Altoona Railroaders Museum, and the Swigart Antique Car Museum, enriching the overall vacation experience.

As Seven Points Campground is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and reservations are primarily handled through Recreation.gov, specific "promotions" in the traditional sense of private campgrounds are less common. However, there are inherent benefits and structured pricing that can be considered advantageous.
Nightly rates typically range, with standard sites around $30 and waterfront campsites at approximately $36 per night. Meadow Camp Loop sites generally fall within the $30 range, with an additional nightly fee for "Buddy Sites" when used to accommodate a second unit and additional people (confirm this fee at check-in).
While there are no publicly advertised "sales" or "discounts," the value lies in the comprehensive amenities and access to a vast recreational area at a competitive price for a federal campground. It's always advisable to check the Recreation.gov website directly for the most up-to-date pricing, availability, and any specific reservation policies, as booking in advance is highly recommended due to the campground's popularity, especially during peak seasons (early April to late October).

Customer Reviews
We love this campground ‼️we stay here every year. Wonderful area, close to the lake and nice bath house.
Great campground with good Lake access. Good views, nice sites.
Very nice place. Quiet and clean. Electric at every site.
Our campsite was huge with 2 tables, lots of room. Good friends, Quiet & rejuvenated. Restroom was super clean * warm for us ladies. Will camp at Seven Points again!!!
Nicely maintained campground with a nice playground for kids and a small comfort station. This particular campground at Seven Points is relatively flat and small and away from the hubbub closer to the water. There is only one toilet and two showers in the men’s bathroom. No sewer hookups but the dumping station is very close by and easy to use with two lanes in each direction.
