Introduction / Overview
Pine Haven Mobile Home Park, located on Stillwater Avenue in Old Town, Maine, represents a pragmatic and often necessary option within the local housing market. In a state where housing costs can be a significant barrier, manufactured home communities like Pine Haven provide a crucial, budget-friendly alternative for residents, students, and workers in the Penobscot County area. This community, situated at 799 Stillwater Ave, is known primarily for its location and its affordability, offering some of the lowest monthly lot rents or overall rental costs in the region.
The community is a collection of individually owned or rented manufactured homes, and the residents of lot 34, Samantha Fleisher and Jason Ouellette, are representative of the local Mainers seeking economical living solutions. While individual unit conditions can vary, the general consensus among residents suggests that the park's primary draw is its economic value, making it a viable short-term or transitional home for those prioritizing savings. As is often the case with older mobile home parks, the emphasis here is less on luxury amenities and more on providing a basic, inexpensive place to live close to the essential services and educational hubs of Old Town and nearby Bangor.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals
Pine Haven Mobile Home Park is fundamentally suitable for Maine locals, particularly those in the Penobscot County area, for one primary reason: financial accessibility in a challenging housing market. For young professionals, students at UMaine, or working families, the opportunity to secure housing at an exceptionally low rental rate is a significant benefit that allows for greater financial flexibility. As one review notes, the very cheap rent makes it a practical solution, particularly for a couple of years while residents save money, finish a degree, or transition to a different stage of life.
This community offers a crucial step onto the housing ladder or an essential, low-cost base of operations near a major university and economic center. While some resident feedback mentions potential management issues regarding fees and road maintenance, these challenges must be weighed against the substantial saving in monthly housing costs—a calculation many Mainers are prepared to make in exchange for budget certainty. For those who prioritize affordability and a convenient, yet quiet, location near Old Town and Bangor amenities, Pine Haven provides a viable solution for low-cost living in Central Maine.

Its okay, quiet, trailers look rundown on the outside but are pretty good on the inside. The roads are pretty bad sometimes. My driveway is always flooded in areas after enough rain occurs. Other than that, 6.5/10, good place to live for a couple years since rent is very cheap.
Aug 10, 2025 · Zachary JeanI currently live here and I’m out of here when my lease is up in two months I would not recommend main real estate management to anyoneThis place sucks they charge you so many ungodly fees stay away if I could give them minor stars they have a -1000
Apr 09, 2025 · Linda SavoyTough spot to get out during rush hour traffic. But I like the 10 mph speed limit. The entrance road gets a bit dug up and full of pot holes each winter, but this is Maine and as Mainah's we have a 6 month period of weather and circumstances that we just have to grin and bare it, No matter which road you're travelling on. The rent is cheap. Sometimes there are really nice trailers for rent, sometimes not. Lots are very very small, so not much privacy from neighbors. Plus side of this is never having to walk very far for a cup of sugar.
Jun 20, 2019 · Julie CousinsThe park is a quiet, pleasant place to live. The real estate management company is difficult to communicate effectively with.
Apr 20, 2024 · ChickInTheStixDefinitely not a mobile park I would raise a family in. The park and a lot of trailers look old and run down. The lots are not well maintained and there is a lot of debris and scrap throughout the park. The road in the park is dirt and poorly maintained.
