Cold River Campground is a quiet and cozy place! The staff are exceptional and were so kind to us during our stay. We rented the 2-bedroom cabin during our stay. It was a nice little place with 2 separate rooms, curtains for doors. The beds are doubles with very soft mattresses. I would say for us personally, that is our only complaint as we prefer a firm mattress (only reason we gave 4 stars for the room). It had a futon seating area and a kitchen table with 4 chairs. Our cabin included a microwave and coffee maker. You do need to bring all of your own linen, supplies, utensils, etc. as those are not provided. This is stated when you book your cabin. The bathhouse was very nice as well. It was only a short walk from our cabin and was very clean and well kept. The toilet stalls and shower stalls were all very clean. Overall, we had a great time during our stay and if we ever return to the area, we will definitely consider staying there again!
Sep 18, 2025 · Danielle DWe spent 4 nights here the end of August. What a delightful campground! The bath house was clean and well kept. Showers were hot, clean and free! The laundry room/library was a welcome respite from the rigors of camping. Machines were clean and worked well. The sofas were comfortable to wait for your laundry. Included a nice bathroom on site as well. The library was well stocked with some good books. The store carries the best ice cream! It was a quiet and restful stay. We would definitely come back if we're in the area!
