May 11, 2025 · Braxton MerckEveryone I interacted with at the information center, the bait shop were very helpful. I ended up reserving one of the campsites over the weekend and they had an option to deliver firewood to your site when you check in. The bathrooms were clean and the trails looked safe. I'll highly recommend this place if you want a quick escape.
Jun 19, 2022 · Ian AcostaSweetwater State Park is a great spot for a camping trip for sure. The lake is beautiful there, they have a nice bathroom, the campsites even have electric and running water you can use! The one thing I wish I would have known before going out there for the night was that the campsites where you pitch your tent are extremely hard ground and gravel. You’ll absolutely want to bring extra cushion for under your sleeping bag. Don’t be a fool like me, and wake up in pain haha.
Nov 26, 2023 · Eddy GThis is a great place to meet up for a picnic or to grill with friends and family. They also have a great camping area as well. I will definitely be returning.
Sep 20, 2023 · MicheLe A.K.A. One LWe stayed at the tent campsite 01 (the best of the tent sites in my opinion since it’s closest to the water). Site was clean, grill was clean and empty of debris. Campground host (Queen?) delivered our firewood and was super nice. Since it’s not a huge campground, it wasn’t very noisy due to neighboring campers except for passing cars nearby. Campground has a nearly brand new playground which my daughter had to herself due to the small size of the campground. Very clean restrooms! Lots of wildlife including chipmunks, friendly geese and even friendly snakes! We had a common black snake pass though down near the shore who was probably hunting chipmunks. My daughter loved all of it and says she doesn’t want to go to any other campgrounds now that she’s been to this one!
