Came to scout the area for future cycling tours in Green River and other renowned local cycling routes. The tent sites and primitive tents hold potential and the campground seems to be growing and working on improvements. The staff was all friendly and they had holiday activities for the kids around the pool and fishing pond. All around a nice simple place in the country. That being said…. Night two we were treated to SIX HOURS of continuous dogs barking. The staff was aware, other camp sites were yelling at the dogs, and the owners were absent. Fours dogs chained up outside an RV with nobody present when I walked up there around 22:30. No cell service in the campground so I could only get a text to the published office number. We finally packed up at 00:30 and drove 2 hours back home. The policies WE received prior to arrival were very specific about dogs, behavior, and noise.

We did a toy giveaway before Xmas which was all arranged beforehand. The people there wanted to take full credit for it however. Arguing ensued & police called. It was a success day helping hurricane victims but the stress these people caused was unnecessary. Won't return.

Conviently located near Columbus for food , gas, shopping and good restaurants. The park manager, Lisa, is a joy. Always friendly and helpful. The maintenance gals are great too! The modern showers are always clean, neat and sanitary. Wide camping spots, a duck pond and pet friendly. Good people helping the community and children during hurricane recovery. We have stayed here as long as a month. No complaints, just praise for a well managed and safe park. -Mike McCarthy

Campground host/manager rude to visitors. There seems to be several under the influence of drugs and traffic coming and going constantly. Not ideal for families to get away for a nice weekend camping.
