Great Stay! If you like a “camping vibe” or if you aren’t from this area and want to feel like you are experiencing Mississippi nature, this is your spot. The abundance of trees, birds and sky views made our time here very enjoyable. We saw eagles by the lake several times. Fireflies filled the tree line at night. Randy was friendly and offered local knowledge. He also let us know the area was extremely secure and he was always available if we needed anything. Note to owners: maybe an update to showers and bathrooms Better “filling mud hole” solutions Keep Randy. Thank you for offering this amazing spot to the public.

It's super cute here!! Too bad the county can't reopen the water, so the water slides can be used. Beautiful park. The campground host lives on-site, and he is really helpful. We enjoyed our stay while we waited to get in Tiffin to repair our coach.

We stayed one night at this KOA while visiting Mississippi State University. The park is located just down the road from the campus. Perfect location. The park does look a little rundown. It looks like they had quite a lake resort at one point, but all of the lake features are closed now. Some of the grass was a little overgrown and things just look like they need a little TLC. The managers were all very nice. The price is also quite good for a KOA. It’s a good place to stay in visiting the campus, but not really a destination park anymore.

If you like a quiet peaceful camping this is the place... we tent camped and it was great mosquito were minimal the management was awesome beyond my expectation randy is the best. Came by and checked on us to see if everything was good.. he even offered us free firewood for our camp fire. 🏕 now as for randy 💯 kind generous we had a small vehical issue where my wife accidently drove off the roadway shoulder and got our suv stuck in the mud coming back from the bath house late at nite. Aprox 10:30 pm We called randy and he came with out hesitation .. since it was late he said I will pull you out at 7 am because the tractor 🚜 makes a little noise and don't want to disturb other guest that to me shows the consideration he has for his guests... the bath houses were awesome each bath house was private and not joined with other showers ..the bathrooms and showers were spotless.. super clean .. the registration office was very clean and welcome us with open arms. WILD life was everywhere like rabbits deer squirrels non of the wild life botherd us but were fun to watch from out chair. I HAVE NOTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT THIS CAMPGROUND .. BUT THE CORP OF ENGINEERS AND COUNTY SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUTIBLE FOR HAVING THE LAKE SO LOW that the campground can not use the water slide that the campground paid millions to erect and not in service. This is not the KOA fault nor Randy's or owners of the campground .. the county approved and corps approved the build for the huge slide 🛝 but refuse to raise the water level. If I owed this campground I would be at the courthouse daily giving them hell. I pray that the campground gets the revenge they so deserve 🙏 to have this fixed. It does not help the campground one bit it accurately hurts them badly .. and I as a first time camper at this KOA I'm OUTRAGED 😠 😡 and if they need a witness we have 5 people that will drive 4.5 hrs just to voice our opinion and to watch the county and corps have a melt down ...NOW AS FOR ALL THE PEOPLE THAT COMMENT BADLY ABOUT THIS CAMPGROUND ..!! IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT NOR MANEGMENT FAULT BECAUSE 1 THE LAKE LEVEL IS DOWN OR 2 THE SLIDE IS NOT OPERATING ... RANDY does his best and beyond the best to make your stay with him pleasantly comftable ..so for all that bash him or the campground. Get a life he can only do to help with what's he has at hand he does not have a magic wand to please you because you live high on the hog in some big condo .. this is a campground that is struggling with their hands tied behind their backs because of politics from the county and corps of engineers fault and neglect. Now for randy you are the best keep your head up don't listen to Debbie downers Ken's and Karen's that you can never please. Because the LLORENS FAMILY travels to many campgrounds a year and we have this place on our top priority to come back again and again ..campground is close to starkville about 15 to 20 min away great location I give this place a 💯.. we were able to film wild life from a distance and the animals love this place just like my family did wevwatched them play for hrs and I mean I'm a hunter and never seen animals play like this before. ..GREAT JOB RANDY YOUR OWNERS AND KOA SHOULD BE PROUD TO HAVE YOU AS MANAGER.. TO THE OWNERS TAKE CARE OF HIM HES A GREAT ASSET TO YOUR PROPERTY. ..THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEART ❤️ WE ENJOYED OUR STAY. EVEN THO MY WIFE DOES NOT LOOK HAPPY IN THE PHOTO I Caught her by surprise. SEE YA SOON

The lake is drained due to the state of Mississippi not taking care of the dam. So the waterslide is decommissioned and there is no swimming or fishing obviously. It's basically an RV park with a KOA reservation and checkin process.
