Promotions or Special Offers
Based on the available public information, Strick's Family Campground does not currently advertise specific promotional discounts or special offers in the typical commercial sense (e.g., "buy two nights, get one free" or seasonal sales). Campground pricing is generally based on daily, weekly, or monthly rates for full hookup sites.
However, the "value" proposition of Strick's Family Campground comes from the amenities and experience it provides, which can be seen as an inherent draw for campers:
-
Competitive Pricing (relative to amenities): While one review mentioned a perception of $70 a night being "kinda high," pricing is subjective and often reflects the level of services provided, such as full hookups, river access, and maintained facilities. For many RVers, the convenience of full hookups and amenities like a clean bathhouse and river access justifies the rate.
-
Inclusion of Full Hookups: The standard offering of full hookup service at all sites is a significant value-add, as many campgrounds charge extra for this or may only offer partial hookups.
-
Direct River Access: The dock and loading ramp provide free and easy access to the Perquimans River, which is a valuable amenity for fishing, boating, and enjoying water sports without additional fees for launch or access.
-
Peaceful Atmosphere: The "very quiet" and low-traffic environment, while not a direct "promotion," is a highly desirable quality that enhances the camping experience and contributes to its value as a relaxing getaway.
It is always recommended that prospective campers directly contact Strick's Family Campground to inquire about their most current rates, any potential long-term stay discounts, or specific policies that might indirectly offer value for their stay. It's also wise to discuss your specific RV size and needs to ensure a suitable site is available, as some sites are noted to be "tight." While explicit "promotions" may not be a feature, the range of amenities and the serene setting often provide significant value for a camping trip in Eastern North Carolina.

Customer Reviews
Came up here for the weekend to meet some old friends. The staff are absolutley friendly and will answer any questions you have. The campground has a play area as well as a dock and loading ramp to the river. It is a full hook up service. Some of the sites are pretty tight and consist of permanent campers. It is very quiet and there is hardly any traffic. If you are looking for a place to get away and relax, this is your place. The bath house is very clean and the sites are level. I would definitely recommend this place. I would like to come back in the summer when the fishing is good.
Old man on the phone was absolutely nasty. When I said 70 dollars a night was kinda high and abruptly said “ we don’t want your business. If you can afford a 40’ 5th wheel price shouldn't matter.”
This is a Hidden Gem. Many of the people are long-time residents but there is plenty of room for everyone else. The sites are level with full hookup.
Awesome campground with full hookups, pull through parking, shade, river access, and just minutes from Elizabeth City! The staff was wonderful. We can’t wait to visit again!
People are friendly, quite place to rest. Bathroom clean. Nice owner, willing to help in, anyway.
