Misty Player RV Park is strategically located at 1414 Weeksville Rd, Elizabeth City, NC 27909, USA. This address places it within Elizabeth City, a historic and significant town in northeastern North Carolina, often considered the "Harbor of Hospitality." The park's location on Weeksville Road provides a balance of accessibility and a potentially quieter setting, away from the immediate bustle of downtown but still within easy reach.
For RVers and travelers, Elizabeth City serves as a gateway to the famous Outer Banks, which can be explored via a convenient drive. This makes Misty Player RV Park an excellent base for day trips to the barrier islands. The area is also well-connected by major highways, including US-17, providing smooth travel routes from various parts of North Carolina and neighboring states like Virginia. Its position near the water, as suggested by reviews mentioning cabins "overlooking the water," adds to its scenic appeal and accessibility for those interested in maritime activities. For North Carolina residents, it's a manageable drive to a coastal region that offers a rich blend of history, nature, and recreation.
- Full Hookup RV Sites: The RV park provides full hookup sites, which typically include 50-amp and 30-amp electrical connections, water, and sewer hookups at each site. Reviewers confirm these sites are well-maintained with concrete pads.

These cabins are well-equipped and highly praised, featuring large beds (including one upstairs), porches overlooking the water, tidy bathrooms, full kitchens with appliances and cookware, dinner tables, and large TVs. - Convenient Local Access: Being in Elizabeth City means residents and visitors have access to local shopping, dining, and historical sites, adding to the overall experience.
While specific, publicly advertised "promotions" were not extensively detailed beyond the general pricing mentioned in reviews, the review explicitly highlights a significant value proposition:
- Off-Season Cabin Rates: The mention of "$90 a night on the off season" for the cabins is a clear and compelling offer. This price point, given the amenities (large bed, upstairs bed, porch with water view, tidy bathroom, full kitchen with appliances and cookware, dinner table, large TV, Wi-Fi), is considered "unbeatable" by a customer. This suggests a strong value proposition for those traveling outside of peak seasons.
Given its "Veteran friendly" nature, it's also common for such facilities to offer special rates or considerations for active duty military, veterans, and DoD personnel, though this should be confirmed directly. For the most accurate and up-to-date information on rates for RV sites and cabins, including any seasonal pricing variations or potential discounts for military affiliation, it is always best to contact Misty Player RV Park directly. Inquiring about rates for different lengths of stay (daily, weekly, monthly) would also be advisable to find the best option for your visit.

Situated next to the RV park, these cabins are probably the best thing on the base Large bed in the main room, and one upstairs, porch overlooking the water, tidy bathroom, full kitchen with appliances and cookware, dinner table, large TV, Wifi. $90 a night on the off season. You can’t beat it!
We stayed 2 weeks and explored the outer banks. There are 2 rows of full hookups 50/30 water and sewer. Sites are well maintained with concrete pads. Space letters are spay painted on your site. The post is Veteran friendly
It's small but has full hook ups. There's a small sandy beach, a dock, & boat launch. There are plenty of picnic tables, & covered pavilions. The shoppette is close. The water is brackish. We've really been enjoying our time here. Will definitely come back.
We went in the commercial gate, but it was a long drive from the RV park we could have fit through the main gate. There were 12 FHU sites that are big rig friendly. It accommodated our 41' fifth wheel and truck with the RV hanging over the grass except we couldn't connect to sewer because it was to far forward. Back in site #F had a nice view of the River on the passenger side. The sunset is from the dock just a short walk from the RV park. There are also three "cabins" overlooking the River.
My husband took me to the office to have our retirement ID's made on 4/13/21 and on our way out we stopped by the commissary, it was my first time. The staff was extremely pleasant and made shopping very enjoyable.
