For Floridians, the location in Pasco County offers a balance between getting away from it all and maintaining reasonable accessibility. While it provides a feeling of being immersed in nature, it’s not so remote that it becomes difficult to reach. Richland is positioned within a comfortable driving distance from many major population centers in Central Florida, including Tampa, Lakeland, and Orlando. This makes it an ideal destination for a weekend camping trip or a longer holiday without requiring excessive travel time across the state.
The "Ranch Rd" address itself hints at the natural, undeveloped surroundings you can expect, suggesting unpaved or less-traveled roads leading to the campground. This contributes to the sense of escape and getting "back to nature." For local users, knowing that such a genuinely rustic experience is within reach, without having to travel across state lines, is a significant advantage. It allows for spontaneous trips and regular visits to unwind and enjoy Florida's natural landscapes.

It is a great place to relax and unwind. Very much a rustic atmosphere so if you are expecting modern day rooms, restrooms and showers this place is not that. If you want a space to park your living quarters, build a fire, enjoy nature, and ride your horse, then this is for you. We went for the Thanksgiving Holiday and it was nice to be living almost like the settlers did. Try this place, you will enjoy nature at its finest.

Jan 28, 2024 · Asheville Bruce HensleyIt was a bit hard to find in the dark, but worth it when we arrived. Very basic but nice and relaxing.
Nov 11, 2022 · Tony BrannonIt was very crowded when I arrived on the weekend, but I still got the spot for my RV that I reserved. There were lots of horses. Then suddenly I went outside one day and everyone had left and I had the place all to myself. How surreal. It's well maintained and the trees gave a lot of shade to keep my trailer cool.
Dec 08, 2021 · Kyle DelaneyWould have been OK except for the foreign woman using the campground as her personal dog park. 2 large black dogs chased you down if u stepped outside. If you're reading this - you can put yourself in danger, u don't get to put me & my little dog in danger. That's why society has rules. I was nice and asked 3 times & you called me names. Really sad.
