The Point Campground is celebrated for its truly "nice, quiet COE campground" environment. For many, the allure lies in its ability to provide a genuine retreat. Reviewers highlight the "clean, well kept sites," ensuring that campers arrive to an organized and inviting space. The dedication to maintaining a pristine environment extends to the facilities, with "clean showers" being a frequently praised feature. This attention to detail speaks volumes about the care put into ensuring a comfortable experience for all visitors.

One of the most appealing aspects for campers is the sense of seclusion and connection to nature. The campsites are described as "well maintained and secluded," offering privacy and a genuine feeling of being immersed in the outdoors. Many of these secluded sites boast "paths to the water," which is fantastic news for fishing and swimming enthusiasts. This direct access to the water enhances the camping experience, providing immediate opportunities for recreational activities right from your campsite. Whether you're casting a line or taking a refreshing dip, the convenience is unparalleled.

The friendly atmosphere is further enhanced by the presence of a "friendly camp host." A welcoming and helpful host can significantly improve a camping trip, providing local insights and ensuring a smooth stay. This personal touch contributes to the overall positive experience at The Point. While there might be "little-to-no cell phone coverage in most cases," for many, this is seen as "part of the allure." It encourages campers to truly disconnect from digital distractions and fully immerse themselves in the natural surroundings, fostering a deeper sense of relaxation and connection.

Despite its secluded feel, The Point Campground offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful natural setting that is also "close to city amenities." This means you can enjoy the quietude of the outdoors without being entirely cut off from essential services, dining options, or local attractions in Sulphur and the surrounding areas. We go to The Point a couple times each year. It is a nice, quiet COE campround. Clean, well kept sites, friendly camp host, clean showers. The only possible negative is there is little-to-no cell phone coverage in most cases...but that is part of the allure to us.

Absolutely love this place!! The campsites are well maintained and secluded. Most have paths to the water which is great for fishing or swimming. I do recommend keeping your food and cooler secured as critters will and do get into them. The bathroom is clean with an oversized shower stall. Not too noisy or crowded (we went on a Sunday and Monday night). Will definitely be an every other week getaway. Lots to explore around and close to city amenities.

What a beautiful campground! If we lived closer we would absolutely be coming back. We scoped out our favorite sites with the large campfire areas. Sites were well maintained, level and sturdily bordered. You have neighbors, but you are spread out and not up in each other’s business. We had a very relaxing stay! No showers and the toilets are the pit kind, but must have been recently serviced because they weren’t stinky and the bathrooms were well maintained. Short drive to the lake.

My new favorite favorite place to camp. (Two years later) I think that I like campsite 55 or 56 the best. The elevated campsite would permit me to run my Honda generator below the edge of the stone wall and no one would hear it. Just sayin'. And also campsite 5.
