A Tranquil Escape at The Wandering Path Looking for a place to truly unwind and reconnect with nature? The Wandering Path offers a tranquil environment meticulously crafted for ultimate relaxation. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the host has prioritized creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere. Despite being told they were fully booked, the design and layout of The Wandering Path allowed for a surprising sense of solitude. It truly felt like a personal retreat, even with other guests potentially present. One of the standout features was the thoughtfully maintained amenities. The bathhouse was impeccably clean and the availability of hot showers was a welcome comfort. Similarly, the kitchen area was spacious and spotless, equipped with fans that effectively kept the heat and any potential bugs at bay, making meal preparation a breeze. However, the true gems of The Wandering Path were undoubtedly the beach and creek. Spending time floating along the cool, spring-fed water was incredibly soothing. The gentle currents and natural surroundings provided the perfect antidote to everyday stress, truly washing away any worries. These natural spaces became the heart of our visit, offering endless opportunities for peaceful enjoyment and a feeling of being completely alone with nature. Overall, my experience at The Wandering Path was exceptional. It offered everything I needed for a relaxing getaway and more. The fact that it felt so private even when fully booked is a testament to the thoughtful design. I wholeheartedly recommend The Wandering Path to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat where they can unwind and immerse themselves in nature's tranquility.
The Wandering Path is a sanctuary. It’s a place for those who need a safe place in nature to think, heal, have fun with friends, and feel the true beauty of being away from the fast life. Amanda is a perfect host, she made us feel more than welcome, safe, and accommodated in every way. We have been 2 years in a row now, and both times in early March. Very few bugs, cold but clean and stunning water in the creek, working hot showers, clean bathrooms, and a great outdoor kitchen with amenities. Yurt #2 is a lovely stay as well as primitive site #8, which is much more secluded (and a bit of a walk with camping gear) but absolutely gorgeous with direct access to water. Highly recommend Coldwater Creek country store nearby for breakfast, meals, and snacks! We live a 13 hour drive away and we will continue to come back every year. Much love to this spot forever!
We LOVED our experience at the Wandering Path! The yurts & common spaces were clean and well maintained. Amanda was so helpful and responsive when we had questions. It was a fantastic way to celebrate mine & a friend’s birthday. Can’t wait to go back!
You will not regret booking The wandering path! Me and my husband just went for our anniversary and had the most amazing time, you get to be in the heart of nature while still enjoying a warm shower at the end of the day and even AC if you choose! The new kitchen is an amazing add on and made it even easier. What makes everything ten times better is how close the water is, there’s even a fire pit right by the water that anybody can use, we made breakfast on it! If you’re deciding where to camp, this is the place. ⛺️
The Wandering Path was such a beautiful getaway! Our weekend spent at site #8 was serene and peaceful. We hiked trails, visited the sandbar, and enjoyed the community centers. Amanda, our host, was very welcoming and down to earth. You can tell she takes pride in her little slice of paradise, and with accommodating her guests. It was great meeting her and feeling so welcomed. We will definitely be back!
