For Massachusetts families and full-time RVers navigating the beautiful Northeast, finding a convenient, peaceful, and amenity-rich home base is essential. Situated just outside the bustling Cape Cod peninsula, this RV park offers a balanced blend of serene, wooded camping and access to popular coastal and historic destinations.
Campers, especially those who spend "full-time on the road," consistently praise this park for its natural beauty and comprehensive offerings. It is characterized as a "beautiful RV Park with lots of amenities," boasting spacious lots set within a wooded environment. While the tall, abundant trees that provide such beautiful shade may present a challenge for satellite and internet signals—a common trade-off for true nature immersion—the overall sense of peace and the friendly atmosphere make it a favorite. The management and staff, noted for their exceptional customer service, truly stand out, with specific shout-outs to team members like Larry and Felicia for their helpfulness and warmth, ensuring a positive experience even during stressful times for guests.
Thousand Trails Gateway to Cape Cod is an Equity Lifestyle campground dedicated to providing a quality RV and camping experience. The resort is set in a peaceful, wooded environment, giving many sites a sense of privacy and seclusion. The core appeal of this park is its ability to be "close to many attractions, yet away from it all."
The park's infrastructure is geared toward accommodating modern RVs, with sites that are roomy—some described as "extremely large"—to handle big-rigs up to 60 feet in length. While the interior roads may be rustic and require careful navigation, the natural, shaded setting is a huge draw for those seeking an authentic camping feel with the comforts of a resort. It is celebrated as a great destination for families, offering a full calendar of theme weekends and daily activities aimed at all age groups, making it far more than just a parking spot for your camper.

We live on the road, full-time for 4 years. This is a beautiful RV Park with lots of amenities. It's quiet and peaceful. Great for families! The RV lots are spacious. Internet service was not good, though, due to all the tall trees. Also be aware of tree sap falling on your RV and vehicles. The customer service was very good. Nice pool! Laundry was very expensive, $3.25 to wash, $3 to dry (60 min). Lots of machines.
Jul 26, 2025 · Janet LybbertThis is one of the best Thousand Trails as far as the staff and management! The location is also wonderful and the campground is clean. We stayed there during a very stressful time when we were transitioning from one RV and trading our camper in for another RV! The staff, especially Larry and Felicia, were wonderful and made things so much easier on us! Again, a huge shout out to the staff, especially Larry and Felicia!!!!
Aug 01, 2025 · Leslie ButlerWe RV full time & have a dog. Most areas at this park (all around the RV) are sandy (not allot of grass). When walking our dog throughout the park there's pine tar everywhere so daily pine tar removal from his feet wasn't fun, however the tall pines are beautiful.
Sep 21, 2025 · Sookie PepsiWe rented cabin 25 b this week and The hot water went out, and the lights went out for 6 hours when I went to the office, the lady said she was gonna send maintenance over 2 guys came to try to fix it and they said that that cabin has been doing that for a couple of weeks and that they was gonna send an electrician. after 3 hours The night Ranger came by and I asked him when is the electrician coming? He said he dont know they don’t tell him those things.Electrician came the next day when we were packing up and leaving. Do not rent cabin 25 b until they really fix the problem. One other thing one of the workers told us we cannot have a hammock on the tree, but there was more than 10 other hammocks hanging and we were the only ones that had to take it down It was just me and my 3 kids.
Jul 04, 2025 · Kimmie YankeeRude nasty office person. Came in and our spot was double booked. Talked to ranger. He told us to put our camper in the spot next to it. Was called by a very nasty office attendant that told is we needed to move immediately because the person left the next morning out of our original spot after we were all set up because a camper who was pulling in needed our spot. Funny thing is NO One picks their spot. It is computer generated so NO ONE would know where they are going. Would've had a better experience if it hadn't been for the NASTY interaction in the office. Especially when we asked the ranger, called the office and came in the morning to explain what happened and no one was there at the time except the thousand trails rep who I told that i was in the spot next to c39 before I left for sight seeing for the day. And she said she would inform them. Apparently she did not.
