We stayed several days while helping clear trees in the area after Helene. Mark and his staff were super helpful. He even helped us find a route to get in there and out, through all the road closures and utility work. There was no power in the whole area, due to the flooding, but we were fine with our toy hauler's generator and big tanks. Mark made every effort to make sure we were taken care of, even delivering firewood and ice. It is a beautiful new campground, and they are expanding with more sites on adjacent hilltops. We had no issues navigating our 40 ft 5th wheel through the campground. The views are beautiful, and we enjoyed the stars at night while sitting around the campfire. No light pollution there! Can't wait to come back when things get back to normal!

Three Peaks RV Resort was wonderful. The bathhouse, laundry room, and game room were immaculate and cleaned often. The scenery was beautiful with views of the mountains. The owners and staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant. We went in April, extended our stay and made reservations for this October. We plan to visit at least once a year. The park is close to towns for shopping, trails for hiking, and you can even picnic in their private area by the river.

We stayed at Three Peaks this past weekend and had a wonderful time. Very quite and peacefully RV park. Owners were very friendly and nice. Beautiful view of the mountains from every site. We took our two youngest grandchildren and our grandson said this was the best weekend ever in his entire life and we have taking him camping lots of times in the past. The camp sites are a great size and all have fire pits and we got to roast marshmallows with the grandchildren and they loved it. The drive ways still needs some attention but over all this will be a great place once they have completed all of the work. Will plan to go back in the near future maybe in the fall.

Wanted to give this campground a try, as we stayed at Bear Den Campground 2 summers ago and loved it, which was formerly owned by the same people who created this campground. My husband and I traveled with one of our Yellow Labs and like privacy, peace and quiet. Originally slotted with slot A-1 as we have a 35-foot RV. As there were already people next to us in slots A2-5, upon arrival, Joan asked if we wanted something a little more away from others. We did, and took A-21, even though it was meant for RV's a little smaller, my husband drives a large truck for a living, so was able to navigate the space. Pros: Joan and Don, the welcoming committee and daily staff are super accommodating, informative and friendly. Always there to answer questions, offer a helping hand. These two are definite gems and complete assets to the Resort! Can't thank their hospitality enough! The scenery is beautiful of the hillside (future sections of camping). Overall location close to town, very convenient. Private fishing area/picnic area 25 minutes away was very pretty and serene. My husband had a great time fishing and caught some nice trout. Spots along the top ARE super long and spacious. Like the dog park, (a little small), there is an entire field next to it that would be GREAT if it was extended for larger pups to run. I loved earning the high-score on the Galaga and Mrs. Pac Man in the game room, and that you can use a credit card to play. (The actual SPACE in the game room is very cramped- this should be much larger for rainy days or when lots of children are there. The clothes’ washers and dryers are in the game room as well…). Like full sun? Sites A-1 through A-8 are for you! The private deck on our site (A-21) was a deal-breaker- but would be nice is the others had something like this as well. The future pool sites look nice. The clubhouse top floor is immaculate. There are (2) private showers with attached bathrooms. Cons: The actual road around the campsite to get IN and OUT of sites- it is gravel and VERY narrow and obviously, has twists and inclines. Would be much better WIDER, especially on the sharp turns and PAVED- (at least in certain areas). The bottom turn below site A-21, that almost everyone must use to exit, is difficult to navigate, especially for large RV’s. It is steep, sharp and the back of our RV bottomed-out upon leaving, and you can see where others actually locked up their camper brakes and went slightly OFF the roadway. We understand it is under construction and renovation, and gravel and piping were added to widen a certain during our stay (this was a GOOD thing.) The sites are VERY close together and the way they are tapered along the hillside from A-13 to A-21, if you have a neighbor, above you, they see right into your camper. Yes, there are trees planted, but eventually, these will grow to interfere with views and some, like the maple on our site, actually make it difficult to open slides on campers when they get bigger, or your camper is not positioned ‘just so’. Also, if the campground were full, between slot A-12 + A-13, there is actually NOT space, so I’m not sure how with the directions posted which way to drive and NOT to drive, how vehicles once IN, are supposed to navigate in and out… The gravel which lines the roads and sites is extremely SHARP. You cannot walk on it barefoot, and our Lab struggled with it, too. Overall feelings of ours along with others, locals and guests? It feels very FORCED and smushed. Like these owners just want to get as many sites in as possible. Their ‘future sections’ on the mountainside they are developing will take away from the beauty and privacy of the landscape and mountains. It will be much more like an RV Park. We come to the mountains to appreciate the beauty, landscape, serenity and scenery, not look at hillsides with campers and RV’s. We made the best of it, but would not return. If you don’t need much privacy and don’t mind being very close to your neighbor, then this will be okay for you.
