Stopped down for a weekend mostly to save money over a hotel. Requested a water and electric only site but was told only full hookup sites available. Not the case, but went to assigned site anyway in the way back, which was taken but parked in next site which had a bit of a gravel platform to park on reasonably level, but a mix of grass and dirt for living space, which turned to mud because it had rained a ton. They only charged me for the water and electric site even though I hooked up to the sewer at my site because that's what I had asked for originally. They were very laid back about the reservation and payment. I didn't pay until my second day and did so over the phone. All workers were friendly and accommodating. For example I had asked for a fire pit and picnic table and had neither at my new site. So they brought them both when I asked though I told them I only needed the fire pit after all. There was a shower house and bathroom that was neither nice nor nasty. This is a very basic campground with poor drainage in high rain and few if any amenities or scenery other than farmland which you are surrounded by. My biggest beef was the water smelled mildly like sulfur (rotten eggs) which soon caused my whole camper to smell like that. The worker warned me to run the water before I hooked up because there could be rust because the site hadn't been used in a while. There actually was no detectible rust in the water until the final day around lunchtime when there was no water pressure at all. I had rust stains running down my camper from the water inlet. With effort I was able to scrub it clean off the metal when I got home later but the white plastic around the water hookup appears stained for good. Very basic place with some issues so keep expectations low and you'll be fine. Staff were nice and helpful and fair which goes a long way. Don't go when it's raining hard or if you want a nice vacation in nature or can't stand sulfur smell if you're going to hook up your water. Best for stop overs on the way through. Beware the water. Appeared they accepted pull-ins off the road without reservations.
