Introduction / Overview
For New Hampshire residents searching for a classic, clean, and tranquil lakeside camping experience, Tippicanoe Campground in Goshen, NH, offers an inviting retreat. Steeped in history—located on the original site of one of New Hampshire’s oldest YMCA camps dating back to 1911—Tippicanoe prides itself on maintaining a pristine and peaceful environment for campers. Situated on the shores of a beautiful spring-fed pond, this campground is primarily a destination for seasonal campers, which contributes to its well-maintained, community-like atmosphere. However, it warmly welcomes short-term "transient" campers looking for a clean, full-service base to explore the stunning Lake Sunapee region.
The facility is noted for its meticulously cared-for grounds and comprehensive amenities, offering a high-quality experience for both RV and select tent campers. The management is firmly committed to creating a specific, healthy environment, notably maintaining a completely tobacco, drug, and vape-free policy across the entire property. This focus on a clean, safe, and family-friendly setting ensures that visitors can fully unwind and focus on the leisure and natural beauty that the Granite State has to offer. Tippicanoe is a place where new friendships are encouraged, and the simple pleasure of multi-generational family time is celebrated.

Cute campground that is larger than it initially appears. There are a lot of seasonal campers m, but space for short term stays. We stayed just 2 nights at a spot in front of the main building with full hookups. The grounds are immaculate and the staff are super friendly. The laundry room is large and the washrooms are large, bright, and clean. It’s a shared washroom with individual shoulder stalls, a large counter with sinks in the main area, and individual shower rooms. Showers and laundry are for a fee. There’s a cute beach area with a playground and beautiful views. If you visit in June, bring bug spray!!
Jun 23, 2024 · Alicia AdamsBe careful it’s really not a good place to be. The owner in the assistant are not good people confidentially you could talk to other campers. You would find most of them dislike the owner and wish they never went in there for the campground. It’s beautiful but the owners we have a lot to desire, so for a high price, Campground, you might want to look elsewhere
Dec 01, 2024 · Bill RichardsWe actually have only visited family staying here and it's great! Friendly staff and a great playground on the beach. Can't think of a better way to spend a hot summer day than sitting on the beach while the kids swim and dig and play!! Plus it's NH so a beautiful view around the lake is always eye candy. Oh and a Geocache is nearby if you are in to that!! A great place to stay and play in the heart of true New Hampshire.
Jun 17, 2017 · MICHELLE SPANOSBeautiful campground. We were bullied out of our site in 2022. Management always prevails without any conscious. Consequences could be and has been immediate eviction. Buyer beware.
Mar 15, 2025 · Johnny KWe have been here for 6yrs and absolutely love it here. It's our piece of serenity. We have meet so many people and have become close friends with many. There are music venues and seafood festival and pig roast! Floating on the pond is so relaxing and a great way to meet new people. Absolutely recommend this campground. Remember it's the oldest campground in New Hampshire!!!
