Trails End Campground About
For those of us in Tennessee who live for the thrill of the outdoors, whether it's conquering off-road trails on an ATV, exploring scenic routes on a UTV, or simply enjoying the peaceful embrace of nature, finding the right base camp is essential. In the heart of our state's prime recreational areas, Trails End Campground in Huntsville offers a compelling solution, designed specifically with adventure enthusiasts in mind.
Trails End Campground positions itself as a gateway to the vast trail systems that define this part of Tennessee. While it provides traditional campground elements, it also offers cabin rentals, catering to a wider range of preferences for a comfortable stay after a day of exhilarating outdoor activity. It’s a place where you can park your truck and trailer with ease, prepare for your next adventure, and relax in a setting that understands your passion for the trails.
The mixed offerings, from more traditional camping spots (implied by 'campground' name) to dedicated cabins, suggest a versatility aimed at making your outdoor experience as seamless as possible. With a focus on providing convenient access to trails and a peaceful environment, Trails End Campground strives to be your reliable home away from home in the Tennessee wilderness.
Location and Accessibility
Trails End Campground is located at 3269 River Rd, Huntsville, TN 37756, USA. This address places it squarely within Scott County, a region of East Tennessee renowned for its expansive forested areas and, most notably, its extensive network of off-road trails popular with ATV, UTV, and motorcycle enthusiasts. This area is a significant hub for outdoor recreation, attracting visitors from across the state and beyond.
A primary advantage of its location, as highlighted by reviews, is its direct "close to the trails" proximity. This is crucial for off-road riders who value immediate access to the trailheads without lengthy drives. The campground explicitly offers "room for parking trucks and trailers," indicating that it is well-equipped to handle the vehicles and gear associated with trail riding. This practical consideration makes it highly accessible for visitors bringing their recreational vehicles.
While providing excellent access to trails, it's worth noting the rural setting. The "closest store or gas station is 15 minutes away on the highway," which is typical for remote recreational areas in Tennessee. This means visitors should plan accordingly for supplies, but also ensures a quieter, more immersed experience in nature. The peaceful area, as described in reviews, further enhances the sense of escape.
Services Offered
- Cabin Rentals: The campground offers cabins, specifically mentioning "Koleson’s Cabin/Happy Times Cabin." - Essentials (Varying): While some reviews suggest bringing extra essentials, the cabins are expected to include basic kitchenware (dishes) and linens (towels, blankets), though quantity may vary.
Features / Highlights
- Direct Trail Access: The most significant highlight is its immediate proximity to the region's renowned off-road trails. This is a major draw for ATV, UTV, and motorcycle enthusiasts, minimizing travel time to and from their adventures.

- Beautiful Views: Cabins offer a "good view from the back porch," allowing guests to enjoy the scenic Tennessee landscape directly from their lodging.

Customer Reviews
Stayed a weekend at Koleson’s Cabin/Happy Times Cabin. One name is on the website and the other is on the cabin itself. Dishes in the cabinets were filthy, likely from the last guest. Paid a cleaning fee but it’s hard to tell the last time the kitchen counters were wiped down after cleaning them with some disinfectant wipes. Wish they would put $100 into this place and provide some more towels and the essentials like trash bags, dish sponges, and extra towels and blankets. Closest store or gas station is 15 minutes away on the highway. Close to the trails. There’s room for parking trucks and trailers, nice front porch, back porch, good view from the back porch and a fire pit.
Beautiful new room just off the trails. Perfect location, clean room/linens, ample hot water for a shower, convenient check in! Will be back and highly recommend! Plenty of parking space and quiet area!
Perfect little vacation getaway for a ride with friends in Brimstone. Close to town and very reasonably priced. Easy to make arrangements with and very social. Cabin was clean and had a charcoal grill included. Only complaint I would mention was not enough towels and the coffee pot had grounds in it that were very old and forgotten. Also even though there was netflix and youtube we were told there was no wifi password to give out. Air was good and cold and had lots of amenities if we needed them for cooking. We will def be going back. Cabin is called "The Bourbon Barrell". I loved the quaint feel here!!
Omg it's a once in a lifetime . A must visit with razor so can really see over Tennessee. Gods creation . A let your hair down get loose relax and have fun with great friends .
