Customer Reviews
This place is great! The place was pretty much deserted when we got there. Not 1 single person in the tent camping area. I met a nice guy mowing the lawn. He gave us free wood and said we could have any space we wanted. There's a nice stream there, and the bugs are very minimal. I'm the guy who will get bit by 1 mosquito in a room of 10 people, but with a couple of Coleman candles going, I didn't get bit once. The table is of usefully large and level, and grill and firepit area are in good shape. Highly recommended.
Very clean and peaceful! Highly recommend! They have a very nice playground for kids. Clean showers with hot water. Clean restrooms! The camping spots have a picnic table with grill and water.. and electric.
If you want peace and quiet and family friendly with great boat ramp and access to the lake this is the spot for you!! Nice restroom with shower ..be aware that Google maps will have you going in circles.. just take the driveway to the resort and you will see it on the way down on the right!! Lovely place for locals who want a quiet place without so many boats or people and enough space even if it gets full!! And little dogs on leash are allowed!! So perfect!! Thank you to the camp host who was very nice and had firewood on site that was reasonable as well...was very pleasantly surprised!!
It's a ghost camp. I can't figure out what Perry County was thinking about when they closed it. Probably fell to the lame rules about covid-19. Which would not apply here. The whole country is run by people afraid of anything that says PROGRESS. Look-up the road to nowhere. Aka Jerry Mcqueen Way.
We loved it! So clean and quiet! A beautiful place.
