As a state park campground, pricing and availability are often standardized and managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). - Seasonal Booking Windows: State park campgrounds generally open their reservation systems for specific periods (e.g., 11 months in advance for many PA DCNR parks). Booking early, especially for popular weekends and holidays, is crucial for securing a desired site. This isn't a discount but a key to successful planning.
- Mid-Week and Off-Season Rates: While not always framed as "promotions," camping during weekdays or in the shoulder seasons (spring and fall, outside of major holidays) often presents lower rates and fewer crowds compared to peak summer weekends.
- Senior Citizen Discounts: Pennsylvania residents who are senior citizens may be eligible for discounted camping rates at state parks, depending on specific DCNR policies.

Customer Reviews
The layout is great. Sites are nicely spread apart but the gravel area for most sites is way too small. Bathrooms are immaculate. It seems like upkeep on the grounds is already starting to slip.
It's amazing how great it looks since the revamping!! I'll be camping there in June and July, cannot wait!! The staff on site was pleasant and very helpful too!
Great park, friendly, clean. Highly recommend and definitely going back. Ride a mile around the park or 12 to the spillway and back. Fish, boat and a nice beach to swim.
Such a great place to spend the weekend in November! Unfortunately PA is under a no burn..... that was the only thing that was bad about this place and it wasn't their fault! Newer lots, newer bathroom/shower house, newer drive. I totally want to come back in the summer
It’s a nice campground but there isn’t a lot for kids to do. They have a few swings and a climbing structure but that’s down the road before you drive back where the sites are. They definitely need a playground back by the sites and a basketball hoop. Hopefully that’s in the plans because that’s one major downfall if you camp with kids. Other than that they did a really nice job updating everything.
