Location and Accessibility

United RV Park is conveniently located at 218 Thomas Rd, Longview, TX 75605, USA. This address places the park within the city limits of Longview, a thriving and strategically important city in East Texas. Longview is well-connected by major highways, making the park easily accessible for RVs traveling from various directions.

The park’s location on Thomas Road provides relatively straightforward access to the city’s main arteries, ensuring that residents can easily navigate to and from essential services and amenities. For daily commutes, errands, or leisure activities, the accessibility to Longview’s infrastructure is a significant advantage. The roads leading to and within the park are typically designed to accommodate larger vehicles, facilitating a smooth arrival and departure for RV owners.

Services Offered

United RV Park, like most established RV parks, aims to provide fundamental services that ensure a comfortable and functional living experience for its residents. Based on public information and resident feedback, the park offers several key amenities:

  • Full RV Hookups: Standard for RV parks, it is expected that each site offers full utility hookups, including water, electricity (likely 30 and 50 amp services), and sewer connections, essential for all RVs.
  • On-site Laundry Facilities: While not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, a park with long-term residents typically offers on-site laundry facilities as a vital convenience. This would allow residents to manage their washing needs without leaving the park.
  • Dedicated Lots for Residents: The park provides specific lots for RV placement, allowing residents to set up their homes with designated space. One long-term resident mentions having "improved our lot," suggesting opportunities for personalization within park guidelines.
  • Management Presence: The park has owners/management responsible for its operation, rule enforcement, and resident relations. One review praises "Great owners," indicating positive long-term relationships, while another criticizes the "son of the owner," suggesting a recent change in management dynamics or approach.
  • Pet Policy (No Big Dogs): The park enforces specific pet rules, notably "No big dogs allowed," which is a clear service/policy detail that prospective residents with pets should be aware of.

It is important to note the conflicting feedback regarding management. While one long-term resident expresses satisfaction with the "Great owners," another recent review describes negative experiences with a new management figure, citing issues of trust, inconsistent communication, and a perception of declining park quality. These reviews highlight that management responsiveness and consistency are crucial services for resident satisfaction.

Features and Highlights

United RV Park in Longview, Texas, offers several features and highlights that contribute to its appeal, particularly for those seeking long-term RV living.

  • Long-Term Residency: A significant highlight is the presence of residents who have lived there for "over 14 years," indicating a stable and established community that supports long-term stays. This suggests a comfortable and reliable environment.
  • Quiet Atmosphere: While not explicitly stated, the long-term residency and the general expectation for an RV park catering to residents suggest a relatively quiet and peaceful environment, conducive to comfortable living.
  • Sense of Community: The fact that residents have been there for extended periods implies a developed sense of community and neighborly interaction.
  • Personalization of Lots: The mention of residents being able to "improve our lot" suggests a degree of freedom for residents to personalize their space, contributing to a feeling of homeownership within the park.
  • Clear Pet Policy: The "No big dogs allowed" rule, while restrictive for some, is a clear policy that contributes to the park's specific environment and can be a highlight for those who prefer communities with stricter pet guidelines or for those with smaller pets.
  • Convenient Longview Location: Its placement within Longview provides easy access to all the city's amenities, including shopping, dining, entertainment, healthcare, and employment opportunities.

However, it is vital to acknowledge the very strong negative feedback concerning management. The review describing the "son of the owner" as a "weasel" who is "two faced," engages in inconsistent communication, and whose management has caused significant dissatisfaction for a resident, indicates a potential concern for new and existing residents. Issues of trust and perceived decline in management quality are significant factors that prospective residents should carefully consider.

Promotions or Special Offers

Specific, publicly advertised promotions or special offers for United RV Park are not consistently available in general public information. RV parks, like most residential properties, often adjust their pricing and may offer incentives based on various factors such as current availability, seasonality, and the length of the lease agreement.

However, it is common for RV parks to offer types of incentives, which might include:

  • Discounts for extended stays (e.g., weekly or monthly rates), which would be highly relevant for a park with many long-term residents.
  • Off-season rates to encourage visitation during quieter periods.
  • Special rates for new residents or for those committing to longer lease terms.
  • Potential referral bonuses for current residents, encouraging community growth.

To obtain the most accurate and up-to-date information on any current promotions, available RV sites, or specific rental terms and policies (including those related to pets and lot improvements), it is highly recommended to contact United RV Park directly. A phone call is generally the most effective way to speak with the management and discuss your specific needs and any potential incentives that may be available.

Conclusion: Why United RV Park is Suitable for Locals

For Texans, particularly those in the Longview area of East Texas, United RV Park presents itself as a potential option for RV living, especially for those seeking a long-term or permanent base. Its suitability for locals stems from its established nature, evidenced by long-term residents, and its convenient location within a major East Texas city. For individuals and families who appreciate a dedicated RV community with the potential for personalizing their space, United RV Park offers a compelling proposition.

The park's appeal includes its integration into Longview, providing residents with easy access to the city's extensive amenities, including employment, healthcare, shopping, and entertainment. The presence of long-term residents also suggests a degree of stability and potentially a well-formed community, where neighbors look out for one another. The clear pet policy, while restrictive for large dog owners, can be a positive feature for those who prefer parks with such guidelines.

However, it is absolutely crucial for prospective residents to exercise thorough due diligence and engage in direct, frank conversations with the park's management. The recent negative review, highlighting serious concerns about a perceived change in management style, issues of trust, and inconsistent communication, cannot be overlooked. While the long-term positive feedback points to a historical quality, recent developments raise questions about the current resident experience. For Texans seeking an RV home in Longview, United RV Park offers the framework of a long-established community, but understanding the current management dynamic will be paramount to ensuring a comfortable and trustworthy living situation.

This place would've been a nice park however the son of the owner took over and he is a weasel. I knew it the first time I met him that things would go horrible. He wouldnt make eye contact when shaking my hand and he was two faced. He would say one thing and then run and tell momma something completely different. If the place goes down the drain it would be a blessing to Longview. I haven't ever had any issues with any other park I've been to, to date, aside from this tragedy. Glad to be out of there and I feel for the ones that come across it. You can't trust a weasel.

I DO NOT recommend this rv park. My girlfriend stayed here with her service dogs and all they did was harass her the whole time she was there my gf is a 4 time marine combat veteran that was told that her kind dont belong here. Laws do not apply to these owners they make their own rules. We don't recommend any veteran with service animals to stay here. Laws had to be called multiple times on the owners for harassment. They even gave out personal info to someone who doesn't own the place to harass me while I'm at work. If you have big service dogs or big dogs do not stay here.
