Upper Stamp Creek Campground, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers through its Lake Allatoona office, operates with a clear fee structure and specific reservation policies rather than traditional "promotional offers" in the commercial sense. However, these policies can present value opportunities for Georgian campers.
The campsite fees range from $22 to $32 per night, depending on the site type (e.g., standard site with water & 50 amp electric is $24, while a premium waterfront site is $28). These rates are quite competitive for a campground offering full hookups, beach access, and a boat ramp on a popular lake.
Key aspects that serve as "offers" or important considerations:
- Interagency Senior/Access Pass Discounts: Holders of Golden Age/Golden Access Passports and Interagency Senior/Access Passes are eligible for discounts on campsite fees. The pass holder must be a member of the camping party, occupy the campsite overnight, and show photo identification and their pass. This offers significant savings for qualifying individuals.
- Free Boat Launch for Campers: Registered campers at Upper Stamp Creek receive free access to the campground's boat launch, which is typically a paid service for day-use visitors ($5 per vehicle).
- Visitor Fees: While not a promotion, it's good to note that visitors to registered campers must pay a $4 park entry fee per vehicle (or per person if walking in) and are welcome from 7 AM until 10 PM.
Reservations are highly recommended, especially during peak season, and can be made via Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. There is a two-night minimum on weekends and a three-night minimum on holidays. The campground typically operates from mid-May to early September, so planning your trip within these months is essential. Always check the Recreation.gov website or call the Lake Allatoona Project Management Office for the most current information on rates, availability, and specific policies.

Customer Reviews
Nice small campground. 18 tent/RV spots, 2 tent only spots down a steep road. There's a boat ramp only and a beach. Very peaceful and beautiful scenery. We met both sets of Camp Hosts, they're super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Small, serene campground on Lake Allatoona with a nice beach and swimming area! For added fun, check out the cemetery hidden in the woods! A path near the dumpsters leads to a clearing with graves dating back to the mid-1800s.
Great campsite. Most, if not all are paved. My ONLY complaint is that a lot of sites are “waterfront” and you can’t see the water. The underbrush has grown and blocks the view. It’s most of why we came. Attached are pictures of the lake from site #7
Nice campsites. Such a beautiful and quiet part of the lake. Will definitely be back. Really wish they did weekday camping tho.
We had a wonderful stay here. The hosts were fantastic. It was down pouring when we got there, so instead of making us get out and check in, they said go ahead and set up and they will come check us in later. They were incredibly friendly and nice, that does a lot for any stay. Our site was nice and clean. We were able to easily get the boat on since it is a smaller campground, there wasn't a bunch of boats trying to get in, the only complaint about the boat ramp is there is not a no wake zone, so every now and then you will have to deal with a jerk who doesn't watch for other boaters. Since it is on a lesser traveled part of the lake, there is some algae to deal with, bug nothing a shower can't fix. It is a very nice and clean campground. We will definitely stay here again!
