Customer Reviews
This campground was super nice. It was very clean and well kept. The bathrooms were very clean and there were several ways to get to water. The campsites were spacious and well kept. The fire rings were nice and clean. The picnic tables were clean. The campground was quiet even with there being several campers. There was lots of entertainment for the kids. The beach was clean and well cared for. The only bad thing I can say about this place is the dumpsters were far away, but that wasn't a huge deal.
Beautiful, clean and very well maintained USACE property. Unfortunately, it's closed for the season. A combination of electric only and or electric and water site options. Some sites are paved, others are gravel. All sites appear good sized and fairly level. I had 3 bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming, no wifi and no OTA television channels from the front gate.
Real nice campground. Fishing, swimming, boating, and camping all in one place. Real nice bathrooms/showers too.
Only way it could have been better is if ALL the west overlook slips had water connections. I happened to book one of the slips that doesn't. Not anyone's fault but my own.
Highly recommend the Holiday Lights at the Lake in December. It benefits the Birdhouse of Iowa City (hospice). A fan favorite for all ages!
