Promotions or Special Offers

As a designated group camp site managed within the national forest system, White Pine Group Camp Site typically does not offer seasonal promotions or discount codes in the way a privately owned business might. Reservations are generally made through the national forest service or a related booking platform, and pricing is usually standardized based on the site's capacity and amenities.

However, for those planning a visit, it's always advisable to check the official recreation.gov website (the common booking portal for U.S. federal recreation sites) or contact the Pisgah National Forest ranger district directly. They can provide the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding reservation windows, fees, and any specific policies that might indirectly affect costs or availability, such as off-peak season benefits (though typically, the price remains consistent). While no "special offers" in the promotional sense are usually available, the value of reserving a dedicated group site that offers privacy and essential amenities at a standard federal rate is often a significant benefit in itself for group planners. It ensures a reserved spot in a desirable, less-crowded location.

Great, well maintained group camp spot, perma-johns were probably about as clean as they could be, 4 large tent pads 10’x20’, large charcoal grill, fire pit, bear box for food storage and 4 picnic tables. Nice deep creek makes sleeping easy, plenty of nearby hiking trails.

Great site away from the more crowded campgrounds. There are 4 large Tent pads, but room for more tents. There is running water and an outhouse. You see the occasional hiker or cyclist but it's not a high traffic area

The water that came out of the pump was brown - was glad we brought a water filter. Also I’ve never felt so beseiged by people at a campsite before - a group was trying to stealth camp even tho we had reserved it, several others attempted to camp there while we were there, and a group snuck in at night. Super annoying but it’s probably because it’s right at the entrance to the forest. Other than that its beautiful, large, right by the river, parking was very close, and the vault toilets were the cleanest I’d ever used.

This place is simply amazing. It's within 5 minutes of the entrance to the park. Parking is within75 ft of the campsite. There's a little bridge that crosses the creek from the parking spot. There's enough parking for roughly 10 cars. There are five large flat tent sites. Don't worry about having enough space. You can always pitch tents on the grass all over the place. Couple down sides: It has no running water. Bring your own water. It does have a indoor pit toilet. They are not very clean. Imagine a portajohn. Keep in mind this place is a primitive campsite for large groups. You have to reserve this place online.

Well maintained simi primitive facilities only about 3 miles to groceries and shopping but you get the feeling you are out in the boonies. There are actually two sections to the group campground, a upper section and a lower section. There is a cold mountain stream running through the property to cool off on hot summer days. Horse riding stables are just up the road a bit on the unpaved forest service road. If you take the road all the way through, you will get to see some beautiful mountain sceneries. The road ends on US Highway 276 just south of The Cradle of Forestry in America.
